Skirts are held on by a row of pop rivets which will need drilling out and a torx screw at each end from memory? There's definitely one at the front but can't remember about the rear, once these are off the skirt lifts off a series of plastic retaining blocks.
Needs must for me, I've been budgeting around the 2k mark in my head, I'm lucky in that I'm an ex mechanic so whilst I don't have a ramp I do all my own work, which will save some of the labour costs (and hopefully cover the costs of a lightened flywheel and new clutch at the same time)
I can fully appreciate that, more interested in the cost of the diff and shorter 5th gear to be honest, at least I've got a starting point for costs then, not that I'm overly worried, it costs what it costs at the end of the day
Apologies for bringing up an old thread, what's an 'up to date price' for a refurb and gripper, along with a shorter 5th gear?
Feel free to pm if you'd rather mate
Thanks

It's been a while since I last had a VAG family vehicle but from memory the AC pump should have a clutched pulley, so when the AC is switched off the pulley just freewheels and acts as am idler until being switched back on.
A gain its from memory but do you have an auto tensioner on the aux...
The mad rush is on again, only a few days to go until it's loaded back on to the trailer and there's still plenty to do.
Have fitted a basic spec heater box although haven't had the chance to modify it so it'll only blow onto the windscreen but it's better than before, also took the...
Mine had a Sigma aftermarket piece of sh*t fitted when I bought it, the siren had already been disconnected but the hazards would still flash every 2nd or 3rd time I started it up.
I ended up just removing mine as it was just piggybacked into the original loom after getting frustrated at not...
I only use my R1r's in the wet but for me they are a very capable tyre, plenty of grip even from cold, I'm sure I've read somewhere that they are loosely based on the r888, albeit these are a harder compound in comparison
No ideas cost wise I'm afraid, I've wrapped a couple of bonnets before but never attempted anything more complex although there's no reason why it couldn't be done diy at home if you're confident.
Yeah there should be an alarm sensor where you mention, from memory its clipped in place so should just pull out, unclip the wiring connector and you're done
It's a lot of money for the PMS setup but the difference is night and day, I think it's worth every penny. I only use mine on track and once you're used to using it gear changes are so smooth in comparison.
That looks like one of the bms shifters mate, I'm led to believe it is the longer arm and as such easier reach of the scenic shifter that people go for (I've got a PMS one personally) but I believe they need bending slightly to get the position right.
The bms ones were made by one of the...
Really daft question time, does it matter whereabouts the mounts over the rear axle sit/line up on the ARB? obviously this is within reason rather than one on an end and the other right in the middle or anything silly.
I bought one second hand and have had it powder coated again so the original...
