Right for some unknown reason my car wouldnt start... Turned the key and nothing. Called the AA and the bloke said its a common problem with clio's and its a loose/dirty connection on the starter.
A small wiggle later and up she fires.

I had 2 tires fitted to the front today but they c*ck'd up the order. I have one of each. Apart from being more expensive and a higher speed rating is there actually any difference between the 2 tires.
Update ... Broken fuel injector was the problem, the force of the water had snapped the plug off the back.
So all in all not too bad ... should have the car back early next week.
I've taken the plugs out and spun it over no water come out the holes?
Yesterday it was kicking back in every now and then, but its stopped doing that and is running ruff all the time.
Plugs are ngk platinums they were scorched around the bottom of the ceramic bit?
Right i have taken the inlet off and removed the plugs one by one.
I turned the engine over on each plug, no water come out.
The plugs/leads didnt look wet. Its still the same.
Any other thoughts?
Driving last night, went through a load of water on a dual carridge way.
Soon as i hit it engine managment light started flashing and its sounds like its running on 3 cylinders.
Still ticks over ok but lost alot of power and sounds like a rally car.

Had a play with a 07 blue one the other day. There was a short straight then a roundabout and then a long straight.
Absolutly all over him in every respect, looked twitchy on the bends and i kept having to back off through 2nd and change to 3rd early on the straight.
Its the aux belt/tensioner 100%, sounds like loud tappets when ticking over.
I had the same prob, replaced the charcole canister and it was still there.
Renault said there was nothing wrong with it and it wasn't till i had a 36 k service it went. They found it was loose and missing a bolt.
