Hi guys, I've been looking at the Nikon D5300 recently as a good camera to get started into photography but can't decide.
I'm swaying more towards Nikon for no apparent reason, I find Canons user face easier to use - but I'd prefer a Nikon?
Budget is around £600 including a Nifty Fifty lense...
Oh something else worth noting, the Brembo SS wheels are made of chocolate. If anyone's considering getting them - I personally wouldn't. OZ ultralegerras would be my choice.
The SS also came with lowered suspension and the most horrific bump stops in the rear suspension. (Especially early...
Cambelt is due every 4 years so as long as that's done along with a water pump should be fine.
I loved mine but couldn't get on with it ergonomically.
New bright white DRLS and clean plates and it'll look just right.
Hardly surprised at how quick it sold, V8 is a good step up - you'll have to let us all know how you get on with it.
IMO - should have just updated the headunit in the E46 and drove it more like it was designed to be driven.
I'll be getting this on the Lotus on the front clam and passenger side door sill.
It comes highly recommended - I attacked a panel with a wire brush, hot water over it and 95% scratches were gone!
Around £1100 for all that
Should have sourced one with Xenons as they're a must have and near impossible to retro fit.
Remap and a free-er flowing exhaust and you're onto a good car (look at Bens for exhaust noise) it's addictive!
DRL's need updating with some white ones instead of yellow.
Preparation is key! Spend more time getting it clean before protecting the paint.
Before you clay the car make sure you get all the metal filings out (ironX) and then remove the tar (tardis).
Is that a clay glove? Just keep it lubricated and don't drop it. Claying a car is soothing for the...
Couldn't give less of a rats arse what a diesel can do. Id probably fall asleep behind the wheel driving one. My brother has a 325D and I can't see the attraction in owning one.
Hitting 8k rpm, heel and toeing, left foot braking and having the excitement of driving an all in one package such...
I can't think of any other car I'd rather have for the money than the E46 M3, it averages 35 on a long run and around 9-13 on a blast.
The E46 is the benchmark for drivers cars IMO.
Kind of wish I'd have got one of these.
Podium blue Sabelt backs would look great.. As well as the dash colour coding.
Tan leather sabelts would have made this car IMO.
It's easily done apparently, mostly plug and play. But then you've got to sort out the M track mode relocation.
Too much faffing for me, I'll stick with a retrimmed steering wheel and buttons.
That's fair enough, looks like a great car.
I went from Avon ZZ5's/Uniroyal 2 to PS3's on the front and it was a whole different car.. It transformed it, literally so much grip. I wish I had done it sooner.
Only reason I sold up was because of the steering feel and seating position for my 320...
My SS was cracking fun with 160hp-ish.. Can't imagine what this is like with 240!
I'd change the alloys to a more subtle colour and then you'll surprise even more cars.
What's it like getting the power down?
I've changed my front brakes to OEM discs and performance friction pads.
BBK is a must on these, the amount of fade I get is unreal - the brake feel during modulation is quite progressive though.
Have you guys seen the inside of the stock intake?
Carbon intake is on a whole new level...
If you end up selling this, send me a PM first?
I can't get over how good it looks on polished 19's! I think the individual colours suit the polished wheels more than standard colours.
Who ever specced silver grey on my individual needs shooting.
£100 is an absolute bargain for the LED rears, I picked up some front discs cheap from German eBay, they arrived quicker than most UK parts do!
Did you reuse the exhaust gaskets? Cotswolds are back logged with them so I'm waiting to do mine.
These are great cars and I had more fun in mine than in the M3 I've got now..
Steering I found a bit artificial but other than that, great cars! I'd like to get the new 180 Competizione, but I've already had one and fancy a JCW next.
The hazards always annoyed me under heavy braking!
You've got some heafty bills done there! What's the gear change like now? Mine feels like I'm driving a tractor or a lorry!
I've got front brakes, inspection 2 and probably all new rear suspension to do and front tyres before winter.
I opted for 15/12mm spacers, rears rub a bit on the arch...
Love this car, great spec too! I had an Aegean blue and a mora purple lined up but couldn't sell my Abarth in time.
How do you find the SMG?
Not sure I could settle for a "boring" interior in one of these and that lotus white interior looks fantastic!
I had a Citroen Xsara 1.9 TD when I first joined here 5 years ago when I first started driving - now I have this.
Came close to having a Cliosport a few times and almost had a Trophy at 19. Just never got around to having one, I'd love to pick up a track 172 soon.
