A few choice modifications left to go but I like the car as it is.
Those cobbled streets are lethal to walk on in the rain You'll have to let me know about any local meets.
Hello all, I've been lurking on the forum for some years now and i've wanted a 182 since I was 16. So here I am almost 9 years later with this well known car from the forum.
It's a Renault Clio 182 Cup in the marmite colour of Petrol Blue. It was the first registered Petrol Blue in the country...
Already read @Christopher. thread start to finish, that's why I even considered putting the Sportsters in.
I'm 5"8, but the way I've positioned the steering wheel I can't see the speedo from 60-80 at the moment. Already sorted out the brackets from Jon - just going to triple check measurements.
They should both fit on the same adaptors as they're not Renaultsport Sportsters. I'm measuring tomorrow to just make sure.
Soon adds up though and here I was buying a Clio to save money and stop spending on modifications..
I've done about 10,000 miles in my M3 on them and can't rate them high enough. Just £800 I could spend elsewhere (PMS shifter and Brembos) tough choice...
It would be good to get some opinions on this as there are pros and cons for either seat for me. I own both seats, so it's just a case of picking one that suits the 182 best.
Option 1; Recaro Trendline
Pros;
Age specific for the 182, came in the Trophy so just suit the age and style better...
I think the one on my car came from a Schirmer car that ran in the series, but I know my old Alcons came from Thorney.
The exhaust is a lot lighter, about 25kg saving I would say and its without a doubt the best sounding E46 I've heard with it being paired to my Supersprint manifolds.
Could you fit a centre return spring so it automatically centred as I think that would do my head in if it didn't.
Think CAE shifter for meganes/M3's etc.
Patiently awaiting another update to this. Glad to hear it's going in the direction you and all of us want it to.
I'm around for 2/3 hours at a time in Nottingham when I'm at work, so if you need anything or if I can help out then let me know.
Fingers are crossed for you and 165!
Tardis is fantastic, great at getting spray paint off your car as well so it's a multi use product. Smells like crap and gives you a headache if used too much though.
They have a great chassis!
For me;
Any Vauxhall.
Any Audi. Soulless cars, utterly soulless.
Honda Jazz.
Any 4 cylinder BMW. (Not including E30 or any motorsport cars)
I have been on this forum for years, lurking in the background and I have followed this thread from the start and seen everything unfold.
I've never seen a more understanding person with everything that's gone on. Massive props to you for remaining hopeful for #165's future.
Cars really are...
