I'd be interested to see how you configure it for only 3 pulleys. As far as I can see, without a jockey wheel to replace the pump the water pump will be running backwards with the cup setup. Perhaps I'm missing something though!
I then got on with making up a simple brackets to take the bias valve, so gave the handbrake a once over at the same time.
ready for paint
...and installed. Just the lines to run now.
Brakes are now finished and ready to go back on the car. I still have the new lines to run though, so that's next. And as the season is now over with out the car ever touching a track I may as well start getting on with some of the jobs that were supposed to be done in stage 2, after the car had...
Sounds like a plan! I've used a 4pk1110 belt, but I'm using the lightweight pulleys (4pk) as apposed to the 6pk standard. Length should be very similar though. In this photo the power steering pump is still installed but I've since swapped this for the PM power steering delete kit which retains...
Thanks Adam, I'm hopeful next season will go better!
Should be another update very shortly as the breaks are nearly finished and I finally have the pulleys back from Nick at Pure motorsport so the engine can finally be buttoned up and bolted to the gearbox ready for install.
You don't necessarily need to go straight to the Cup setup. The cheapest route would be to buy the delete kits from Pure Motorsport and then either buy the HPAS rack blanking kit from either PM or Proline. Then the only other outlay is for the EPAS steering column and controller.
The Cup...
Glad you're enjoying it. I'm enjoying following your thread too!
I'm hoping this car (and me) has had it's quota of bad luck now. I'm trying to stay positive about next season having now had a whole season without any racing.
Thanks.

Have a look here. He will also make up custome lines if you need something different.
I was going to ask you how you found yours! That's good to know, although I don't think you've got exactly the same kit as me. I don't have a tee piece for the front brakes like yours. Mine come straight from the MC left and right, so I'm only capping one outlet not 2.
Glad you're enjoying it. Could do with it going a bit quicker myself!
Using the standard tensioners. I'm not too concerned with these as I'm sure the engine will be apart again long before these get close to needing replacing and I'm not tensioning the belt any further than standard. (Although...
Thanks for the heads-up. I hadn't heard anything bad about these before I bought them and Mitch seems to do a pretty tidy job of the stuff he does. I'd better check them all out then and get on to the phone to him if it's going to be a headache.
Annoyingly I had already bought hardline for this...
Still waiting for my vernier pulleys to come back from Nick at PM so got on with more stuff.
After receiving the ASTs my OCD was going to make it dificult to fit them without doing some refurbishment to the rest of the suspension and brake setup.
So off with the hubs and brakes for renovation...
So, I decided to send the pulleys back to Pure Motorsport after all, as the dowels weren't coming out of the cams easily and I didn't want to have to strip it all down again. So new dowel holes will be drilled.
Slowly getting through the little jobs while waiting for the pulleys to come back...
Sold one set untested. I started to fit a set before I ran out of gas but if you're interested I'll do them at £15 plus postage for now until I have had a chance to weld some up and test them properly.
Eventually I'd like to have them installed and rig up a GoPro pointing at the bracket while...
So easy to miss one! But not only that, it means I can give the engine a visual inspection at any time and see straight away if a bolt is coming loose. Nothing worse than your alternator dropping off in the middle of a race!
Just a small update this week.
Correct length 4pk belt arrived so that can be checked off the list.
And finally got the cams in and Pure Motorsport's new vernier pulleys on. Unfortunately though, the dowel locating the pulleys on the end of the cams is in the slightly the wrong position for my...
