Its entirly possible due to the type of coating (gel coat) they put on CF products that it will have to be completely stripped before spraying it........
<---- We sell painted ones ready to fit, geniune renault but they are expensive.....but you dont have to glue them on like the CF ones, direct screw in fit as renault intended.
<-------- We have a 197 in our work shop for a full refurb at the moment, with this exact problem. We are stripping them completely and starting again, which is the only way to be sure they wont fail again, a bare metal respray :)
The chappy we are doing them for, the previous refurb they...
Well we can do them @ trade prices and spray them to match your car's colour, but i will say Renault prices even trade are hideous...the RRp £98.17! (thats un sprayed) but we can do them sprayed up for near that price. PM me for details mate. I doubt anyone will beat this price sprayed, as we...
Bit of a bugger, you can hammer on a tight fitting socket after removing any rotating bezel it may have, but ive never had much sucess with this, so id advise taking it to a garage, which they will have a removal tool, or will do what i did and weld on a nut (best option and will work).
Yeh ive also got braided lines all round, and it came with them on the front. Rears are over kill really, but ive also got 2500's on the back and standard none drill discs
<-------- post and return if you struggle mate. If you want it to look like the car was born colour coded etc, then go to a professional. If you have a go yourself mind you, if you fail most bodyshop worth there salt, wont look at respraying it without stripping it and starting again, thus...
Ive got 4 pot willwoods on mine with Split discs, the Jam sport kit. Im impressed, but the ABS seems to kick in more, but this could be because the pedal is loads harder now ive swopped out the brake fluid and a full overhaul all round, on 2500's. Also they are about 1/2 the weight of the old setup.
That is much worse than i thought it would be, and i had very low expectations. Those wheels are crying out, get me the hell off this car and back where i belong.
Ive just done a set today, ill show you the result.....this is why anything from £60 - 100 isnt expensive. If you want all the texturing taken out,, basically an OEM finish like the sports. These are for Will off here....as people in the trade will know this is pearl black, black is the...
They shear off so easily, its happend on mine, you really should put it back, but i do question if it would actually do anything except snap off just the same in an accident. Someone will be along shortly with the part numbers for the bolts.
I did an oil change today lol, but mine uses 1litre per 1000miles, so its constantly being topped up, i generally do it ~12-15k, its got 120k (70 which is mine) on the clock mind you, oil is always black as hell. I use halfords fully synthetic 5w-40, with it using oil all the time, i dont bother...
Wont you need to spend tons of money on other upgrades, like injectors, ecu, charge cooler to support a bigger turbo and decent increases. What are the internals of a DCI good for power wise anyway?
Dump values are lame on most cars, unless you have the performance to back up the noise, such as single tubby supra / skyline then a recirculated wastegate is miles better use of the gas.
Have you checked that the pistons not jammed? this happend on my 172 after cleaning the sliders no difference, only when i came to push the piston back, it wouldnt even move off the car in a vice.
All this week ive been driving my Mrs's Clio Phase 1 1.2 16V "SPORT" so it says on V5......and i can say its still really fun to drive, just have to carry a bit of speed, and change gear more regular than a 172 if cruising, shes goes well.
