I should have added, had my 197 Cup for 2 years, the release bearing on the clutch has gone and the gearbox has gotten louder but there are none of the dreaded crunches so seems ok!

When the early 197s came out the gearboxes were made of chocolate. The cup box has a longer 6th ratio and was supposed to be a bit stronger. So much so that later non cup 197s had this box and so did the 200. Unfortunately buying a late 197 or a 200 doesn't guarantee a solid box but it could...

I've got the Ktec system on my car with decat pipe. (Only 1 cat is removed so still flies throught MOT) great system and is plenty loud enough but you do get a flat spot at about 2500. If you're getting it mapped though, you can almost map it out. I haven't had my map, I've just got used to it...

I'm also an ex 182 owner and 197 owner. I have to echo the above comments for the KTR induction kit. Sounds awesome under heavy load. I've matched it with the KTR exhaust and decat. Look forward to seeing your progress on this one!

The Renault ones I bought came in Renault boxes but are Valeo units There are two versions of the lights. These are plug in and play or there's the HID xenon style ones from Renault but these require ballast packs and are possibly wired differently

Welcome along. Only recently seen the zunsport mesh grilles and they're really growing on me. I get so fed up of cleaning each individual slat on the standard grilles.

Lots of people on 197.net have the toyosport manifold and only thing they say is that the car may need a slight notch in the chasis to stop it rubbing/rattling. As long as the car haas one cat left, it'll go through MOT fine.

Didn't buy the first one due to the awful handling in the demo. Sort of regret not giving it a chance really. This and Grid are two reasons I don't need to get an xbox one which is great for my 'tidy up the 197' fund.
