Bought 2 brand new A048s (medium compound) and did a full trackday at anglesey yesterday and was surprised how quickly theyve worn on the front.
Checked pressures after every session to make sure they was in the range of 30-32 psi, geometry is bang on.
In fairness I was on track a lot, and it...
Must be known on here surely? Very distinctive, looks boosted too with the intercooler on the front.
Was at Blink on Wednesday

Found that my front camber was already maxed out at -2.25 degrees :pensive: Not sure what my options are for being able to run more?
Wondering if it will help when I get coilovers fitted as the car will be sitting lower? Or is there anything else I can fit? Don't fancy paying a grand for PMS...
Mine weighed in at 1015kg today with a 1/4 tank.
172, rear cage, rear fully stripped, buckets, no A/C, carbon cannister, lightweight front doorcards.
Still need to remove all the tar/sound deadening
Got my car booked in at Blink motorsport to have more of a track setup put on the car, Im wanting to run -3 degrees camber on the front (currently running -1.5)
However Im wondering if it is a waste of time paying for the geo setup as I know there is a limit to how much neg camber the bolts can...
Yeah,I surprisingly loved my wet track day at Oulton, felt like I learnt a lot more about being on the limit of grip! The only thing I was having issues with was the inside wheel spinning up when accelerating out of a corner, which made me want an LSD, but maybe I need to learn to be more...
Haha! Thought it might have been you as I knew you were local! I was spotted twice on last nights drive it seems, by you, and I was also 'papped' in Bickerton - someone posted pics on the CSOC FB page
Ive done a search on the problem of the heater only blowing out hot air, and have seen the heater control valve mentioned a lot.
However, I have also seen that a sensor inside the car has been mentioned, which can cause the climate control to get confused?
I recently stripped the cars interior...
Saw your post about struggling to get the PMS dampener to not clash. I had the same issue, the solution I found was to attach it where the linkage bends up. There was no way I could get it to fit where their instructions said.
Im after some ideas on how to reduce the front track width of my clio, temporarily.
Basically I have free use of a car trailer for trackdays (it is designed for a caterham sized car), HOWEVER, when we tried to load the clio last week, the front track of the clio is ever so slightly too wide...
Any info/help would be greatly appreciated.
Basically at Oulton park it first happened, id turn the key, then nothing. Got it home, found that it had a loose connection where the spade connector goes onto the starter motor, so pushed it back on and it fired up first time. So to be safe, I took...
Had an issue with my starter motor not working again at Donnington on Friday. Will try and get it sorted before Sunday as I don't want to have to keep bump-starting the car 😂
Have read a lot about the extra stresses that is put on suspension components when running slicks on track, just wondering what needs to be done to run them 'properly'.
Currently have uprated suspension bushes (powerflex black series), RARB, and a cage, and will be upgrading to AST coilovers...
