They aren't the same, when people fit the 172 stuff to a williams/valver it brings the wheels out further

Im going to be dropping the subframe on my 172 in the next couple of days, what do i do about that metal hose that goes over the box? disconnect it from the rack? is it easily accessible?

Looked at it today and it does have the sensor which is good news for me!

As said, none of it is a direct swap.

I think I've managed to do it with the frame from the mk2, just need to make a few brackets

its 51 plate so is an early one, can't open the bonnet without another person so can't check right now! don't suppose you know how the loom is different? did you do abs removal?

If i removed the abs pump from my phase 2 172 and put the brake pipes straight to master cylinder but and left the abs pump plug just hanging would the speedo work?

So to update this, i put the cylinder head on, the car started and ran but it ran a bit rough, definitely mis firing, not much but enough, decided to just put an F4R in and be done with it. When taking the head back off and removing parts to be sold i found 2 snapped cam carrier bolts, 1 bolt...

The arb is different as well? the bushes are different on a phase 1 compared to a phase 2 23mm vs 25mm. Ive managed to get a complete phase 1 setup so going to use all of that

Any definitive answer? The only difference between phase 1 and 2 is the driveshafts? so wishbones/hubs/ARB and rack is the same?

I want to upgrade the bushes on my phase 1 172, I've looked at the polybushes but they all seem to say 'smi rack only' how do i know which rack i have? the bushes seem to be only for a phase 2 ?

£2k as is imo, if you spend the £1k to get it painted it isn't worth £3k. Does it have the sachs? what number trophy is it?

You pay for the unlock code at 60euros, is that the only cost? or does it cost more money to get the maps aswell?

I have just bought an rs tuner that was used on a 182, i want to use it on my phase 1 172, it has the airbag modules on it, once i buy the unlock code can i then 'map' my phase 1 and also turn of the airbags? and once i have the rs tuner can i switch between standard and mapped at my own free will?
