Im certain i bought a 172 off the same guy selling this, he had a V6 on the drive but i dont think it was this one, or maybe it was but it was under a cover? i cant remember but i recognize that drive and i think the owner is known in the v6 circles
I agree but sometimes when someone is having work done they might request something like a better a clutch or bigger turbo e.t.c which may incur a delay of a week, which could turn in to a supplier issue and then before you know it its 3 weeks e.t.c
@notfastnotfurious i think you'll be fine...
The problem with Clioturbo was he took on to much and couldn't rely on the people he employed, now he's back to being a one man band and is only giving time scales he believe's he can manage and now he's on his own and doesnt have to rely on other people i think no one will be having any time...
It doesnt include the adaptronic, it uses an EFI module (essentially a piggyback unit), i think its better to use the module over a full stand alone on a low boost since not many people who go for the low boost will progress to the high boost set up, £2400 is a bargain for the work involved!
The cups subframe is drilled 10mm wider than a standard 172 ph2 subframe for the wishbones, so i assume a standard ph2 172 runs a 10mm wider track than a phase 1 172 but i really want to know the lengths to see if i can get a shaft from something else (scenic/non sport phase 1 e.t.c)
As title? i can see a clear difference in the passenger side shafts of around 20mm but whats the lengths off the offside? i need a ph1 shaft and i dont have one but i do have a ph2 shaft with bearing carrier thing and a ph2 shaft without the bearing thing (the shaft did NOT come out of a cup)
Sills and arches are new, all the welding has been done, they have been painted matt black though so will need proper paint at some point, car has a cliosport sticker in it so someone on here owned it at some point
I'm keeping this one, i did get a cup to use as a track car but then this came up for sale and i bought it, its had all teh welding done but not hte paint work, has a good spec

The turbo is with out a doubt faster i just prefer the power delivery of the itb's, ive had an engine dynamics low boost ph1 and a mk1 with both low boost and high boost, i just prefer the itb's.
The part number difference probably just refers to the length, i have around 10 sensors here and just looked at them all and they all about the length. The one with the shorter length wiring still fits and plugs in fine.
Im just bumping this as i was linked to it after looking at some shafts earlier
The one on the left is a mk1 16v so ignore that
mk1 16v - ph2 172 - removed from a ph2 172 - removed from a 172 cup today (not sure why it has an abs ring!)
All very similar, the one in the middle i...
Interesting steve, i cant reply to the post on facebook as it got locked, i actually have a cup and a non cup 172 here so ill compare the subframes once they are off, that should settle it!
(I also cant tag Dan @sjm in this post for some reason)
Dan at sjm said the wishbone mountings are 5mm further out each side and the other 5mm each side comes from the wheels, someone on here ran the part numbers on the subframes and they were the same but that might be because the cup one is now the only one available.
He might have sold it, it was well priced considering the work done to it.
@punk_rallye the thing is after driving it i then went home and took out my completely standard cup and it felt much much quicker.
I looked at the grey one a week a go, with a little over £3k in my pocket (we had spoke a lot about the car and agreed a price) it had a few minor issues when i looked at it but the worst was it felt really slow, didnt have a 5k kick and just didnt pull anywhere near as hard as i expected (he...
