Just a little update to the where abouts and fortunes of the little Odyssey... I'm delighted to tell you, that all running issues seem to have been resolved, as we drove it down to Linas-Montlhery 2 weeks ago for a v6 and Renault Sport track day. It was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! AND, we drove it...
No problem mate, fully understand. You can always re register and join an events group for prompts, just incase you slip my mind :/
The old fella wasn't there unfortunately. Give him a shout for a chat, I'm sure he'd be pleased to hear from you!
It wasn't a long planned thing Craig. Will try and remember to tell you about local meets etc in future. You could always keep a check yourself though bud, it's not all old duffers on our little forum ;)
I'd live another mk1 XR2. Black or Silver again for me I think :) The black one I had before was a bit of a nail tbh, but the silver one was nice! :)
Did you notice the decal missing from the rear quarter panel?
I don't know a great deal about those wheels to be honest. But as far as I can tell, they seem to have been little more than a design proposal to the earliest of cars photographed. That particular car you're thinking of even had flush fitting side pods, used in early development cars.

I cant help but wonder if this was the one for sale earlier in the year for about £20. Thats the closest Acid I know of to Guildford.. Nice spot!! Love Acid yellow :approve:
Nice looking example.. Shame someone's taken theExclusive specific floor mats out. Typical (but not all) dealer thing to do.
Being an import, I wonder what.. if any, sill covers it has.
Looks fantastic Craig! Probably the only visual mods I'd do to a ph1. Keep the lights and spoiler... It helps define its identity.. those original design touches. Perfect :)
I had the same last year. Car gets garaged now so not so relevant. Apparently, there's a drain bung forward of the bulk head, low down into the engine bay that releases water from under the wiper panel. Not looked for it yet, but that's my line of investigation when I get a few spare mins or it...
Same venue, set up as last years trip ;) You must have seen the pics for that :)
Open pits, famous banked circuit, well attended by b6 members across Europe, Saturday and Sunday, plus the fun drive down with 10+ other v6's and a couple of other RS Clios over 4 days, plus static show and more! :)
There, that's better ;)
As mentioned a few times before in this thread, 'best' is hugely subjective. For me, and I know I'm biased.. or is it just my opinion and I've acted upon it? Either way.. for me the ph2 v6 I'd right up there. If you believe that once the accounts book was closed on the...
