Picked up my powdercoated subframe from Damon at Wheelcoat , decided to go for red to add a bit colour.
Couldn't resist a trial fit of the box and cup racer mounts.
I'm about to fit omex 600 to mine and have a dash2 to fit with a comms lead to feed all info from the ecu.
I'm then going to make up a basic look for lights, wipers
As in the display or the dash top ?
For display most either use standard dials or something like a dash2 if your running aftermarket ecu.
For dash top either trimmed down standard dash or the dash pad from a mk1
I really don't know how there are so many different variations of this hose kit.
First set gets made on a car to fit perfectly, then all dimensions go into a hose register along with fitting orientation.
Serious spec and power , love how it looks as well.
Does anyone know what the cam belt cover section is off , the bit that normally has the upper engine mount on it ?
Prices have went crazy on them , turning what were once fun cars into garage ornaments.
I think this is the only reason they are staying high , as if the owners were buying them to drive they would quickly realize there are much better cars to own for 30K never mind 90k.
When I first fitted mine years ago I had an issue where the steering was very notchy and had no adjustment , turned out to be the motor on its way out .
For the assistance to work properly the car needs to be on the ground and ideally moving as it needs to feel resistance to work properly.
Stick a picture of the sump up Andy , it could only really be for a temp sensor or turbo oil return depending on location.
For the turbo oil restrictor as a general rule roller bearing turbos normally get fitted with a restrictor , a quick call to someone like Vince Osborne at Turbo Performance...
Has anyone altered the dephaser set points when having the car mapped after going to GPN settings ?
On my old engine dynamics cams we gained power by leaving it energized until the redline .
Only update on this is i picked up a new subframe so that has been dropped off for powdercoat in red , been busy with work on my new house so the cars have took a back seat for now.
But on the plus side my garage ext / workshop is started with wall going up this week , so hopefully will...
Sadly no updates from this but I have somehow started to sell bits off the car before even starting the winter rebuild :(
On the plus side money is going towards extending the garage at my new house .
Hopefully the green shed will see track at some point next year , but I had hoped to have the...
Fairly common thing to have to do on direct injection engines , as the fuel does not wash the back of the inlet valves and with modern crank case re circ systems they carbon up real bad. Have to remove the inlet make sure the valve is fully closed and blast it with walnut shell/air, its a lot...
Ive heard that as well , I know somone running one in his civic this year with no issues but also know people thats had lots of issues.
I have been contacted by the guy from Maxi motorsport about the billet box they are now importing, first one is getting fitted to a clio next week so see how...
Thanks will drop them an email , only thing is the weak point of the JC5 is in the casing , but they may have done similar to the honda box they do where only part of the original casing is used.
More parts added to the pile , a subtle breather catch tank to help keep the engine bay clean and easy to work on .
Tempted to go sequential gearbox this time round , mainly as ive always wanted one. Issue is trying to find a used Sadev in the UK.
Keep the daily and brake the track one, as if work takes off probably won't have much time to use it anyway
Pm me a price on the interior loom and switch panel you made ?
Very nice looking car the engine in them really is smooth and torquey
I would recommend getting a proper carbon clean if it's not had one recently as they suffer badly with build up on the inlet valves
I'm thinking of using one of these as a cheap version of a pdp .
I would have to use separate relays for indicators as it only gives a option of momentary or latched but I've seen a few cars using it and works well.
They are actually meant for marine application so hard wearing and weatherproof .
