^^Usual with valver tbh, no matter how well you 'research' your purchase, they end up being a little bit of a money pit - still bloody good cars mind you, just fragile i'm afraid.
To be fair my brother runs his most days, although he does have other cars too, and has had very few problems with the Saggy to date. I think he's covered about 15,000 miles in just under a year, including a couple of trackdays, so its being used!
I nearly went for a Mk3, but the deal on the Mk2 was to good to miss, get mine in May - not long to wait now. Then i can show some of these whipper snappers whos the daddy!!!!!!!!!
Simon, give up mate!!
Just except it.........

LMFAO, what can I say, it pays well!!
Hours are all over the show mind you:(
If he's a welder then he's on the same sort of money as myself, i'm employed as an Electro / Mechanical Fitter.
Had the Espace for about 18 months now. Its a 3.0L V6 DCi Initial, basically the Renault flagship weighing in at £35k. Its had silvervisions added and a very healthy superchip, now producing around 220bhp and rediculous amount of torque! Other than that and the plate, its standard.
Just had my brother call round for an hour or so, had a quick drive of the 'Saggy', then took a few pic's. Neither cars are clean:o:
And before you ask, yes the Saggy is f$£&!ng rapid!:approve:
Not agreeing or disagreeing with your comment, and before you ask i have driven Mk1 172, Mk2 182, Mk1 V6 and Mk2 V6 all around the same track!
But please, you be honest a let us know whether you have driven both round a track?????:S
BTW, a 1.2 16v Campus Sport is the way forward, forget all...
