I've onwed both - Mk1 & Mk2 and both are great cars.
If ultimately you just want out and out speed for the same kind of price, turn to the land of the rising son my friend, coz thats not what vees are all about.
All IMHO of course:approve:
Its not just buying the Scooby thats going to hit you financialy, its the running costs too, far more than any Clio, even a Vee!
But if its what you want (personaly wouldn't be my choice), and you've set your heart on it, and can afford to run it - go for it, why not!:approve:
Bargain fella - great shopping!
Now, you will let me know how much you want for those RSi wheels when you decide to fit the ones off of the R5 won't you?!?!?
Sunday the first of April?
I might be up for it, might even be able to drag along some of our usual suspects, depends on what your planning on doing really, if its a pub meet, eats and a drink, i'll try my best to be there - where ever 'there' maybe:approve:
Not my experience:
I rang him at midday the other week, it went something like this......."Hello Ben, it's Steve V6 here from ClioSport...yeah yeah the naked bloke, lol. Anyway, was wondering if there's any chance of you doing me an oil change some time in the very near fututre.....this...
..........For £213 fully comp for the year. Including myself and the wife, SDP and to and from work. They matched my no claims on the vee policy, was well pleased:approve:!
Elephant.co.uk if anyone is interested who the insurer is.
Yes, they will fit but tbh that design of locking wheel nut are useless, after being taken off and put back on a few times they start to round off and eventually you have to force them off - nightmare!
Well it was for sale at £5000, but i only offered £4500 via PM, it was a geniune offer and it was turned down, which wasn't a problem. I had decided my limit for the car and that was that. Just don't understand why anyone would then do a swap for a car that they then sell on for £1500 less!! I'm...
Well I emailed him, make of it what you want:
"Hello there,
I was just wondering can I still bid on this car, as it has reached and surpassed your buy it now price of £4000, or have you now removed the sell it now price.
I’m a genuine bidder, so if you could let me know, and I’ll place my...
It was a d'oh moment - thats for sure:o
But seriuosly, there is no moving the RSi, i know it looks a bit dodgy but its rock solid on those blocks of wood, in fact the lower block at the back runs right underneath the car from one side to the other - why by axle stands when you can improvise;)
Coz I don't want to f**k it up over the winter months.
Not everyone is the same with thier cars, I honestly love to go out to my garage and just look at the vee sometimes.
Sorry if that seems strange, but horses for courses and all that......
I've got an 06 1.2 campus sport at the mo, but tbh its nowhere near as economical as i thought it was going to be (my style of driving prob doesn't help:o ), so i'm going to sell the 1.2 (to release some capital too) but I still need a run around for work etc..
I've had a few RSi's in the...
