Hey man, I will put my name on your old pistons and rods if you do upgrade, but I recon you won't be wanting any more than that meggy lump can produce with a good map! [emoji1305][emoji1305]
School boy error! Seriously though having a pedal in the first place is hell of a bonus. The amount of garages that phone us having issues from fitting the slave dry is crazy, horrendous design
Re: the clutch issue.... I'm a Renault tech, they can be a bit of a sod to bleed the air out of, assuming it's the standard slave. A great way to get any remaining air out is to pump up the pedal as good as you can get, say ten pumps, hold the pedal down and crack open the bleed nipple on the...
I'm on 230ftlb and 245bhp it's plenty enough, never really had much problem with grip apart from accelerating out of tight corners, now I have a LSD it's defo sorted that.
I'd totally forgot you were running a gt2871 thought it was a standard 225 turbo! Those produce lots of torque but I think...
I commented on a post on tracktime that you put up but when I went to see if it was done the post had gone!?
Anyway good result mate, not far out with my 270bhp/290ftlb guess!!?
Thinking of putting this up for sale, just about to turn 60k miles..... really want a Clio 200 and have seen the one I want. Just don't know if I can do it, also putting a price on this is a challenge!! Thoughts??
Yeah mate, this is my reasoning... it's just a far superior chassis in my eyes, the 182 is pretty amazing but defo has its 'quirks' nice to have a fresh canvass to play with I'd imagine?
I have my eye on a guys 200 who bought it from my place new on a 5year deal and he basically had been...
Power to weight will be a good bragging right. I always said though with all that power, comfort is something that I had to have.... Are you going to get some different springs now? The billies may need to go?
Hey mate, do the bolt holes on the Jc5 line up with the bolt holes on the Megane block? I always thought people use the F4R block with the F4Rt internals, head etc??
Very much hope so mate but 2 of the cars are being built still, I'm building one so pressure is on... mine is ready as always though so fingers crossed!
That would be ideal, may take you up on that! [emoji106][emoji106]
Understandable mate, to be fair to yourself you did make a last min decision! I must have been pretty lucky in the last 3 years I have been, never had any issues with pricks being pricks.. the last time was in 2014 and was planning on the only full weekend left this year in September, really...
Whoa mate, that's some shitty bad luck... Top work from your mates though, awesome stuff!
Wonder what's killed that diff?? Will be interested to see that, at least you got a taste for what that little beast can do though, which has got to be inspiration for not giving up on it and getting back...
Wonder if anyone can refurb them? You'll love them at the ring mate, will be interesting to see if you'll get the spring on the o/s/f completely compressed and banging on the carousel... Was my only gripe!!
Hey steve, good stuff!! Braided lines needed on the rear I recon?? As per the difference side to side... The shim behind the bearing on the stub axle the right way around or missing or something? Just a thought?
Yes mate I mounted it up under the boot floor near the filler neck, it's a good place for it, swirl pot is in the boot though... I did have my pump in the boot but it soon gets boring!!
