@LeeRS My mate tried to call him today be there is nobody there, when that happens he is usually doing some contract welding work at oil companies so you need to keep trying over a week or so.
Its the angle of the sides of the jack, it will go so far but not quite far enough
heres a couple of pictures as you can see it needs to go about 5 inches further in.
Just get a piece of wood longer than the gap and fit it at a angle and tap it down until it spreads the legs into the correct position.
or a piece of wood against the one leg and a bottle jack against the other
I have cooksports and my jack will not quite get to the chassis rail or triangle but jacking off the sill is not really a problem with a large saddle as it is spreading the load, it only starts to bend when used with the small 2inch saddles.
I use a bit of wood to drive on if I need to jack off...
I attempted to make some fiber glass ones (like the cup racer) but it went badly wrong as I did not have a clue what I was doing lol
so after that I just went simple and got some Ducting off ebay for about £10 Ducts from JJC about £20 mounted them inside the fog light surround and made some...
TBH as long as you are in harnesses and buckets you will still have a cell around you as it is far enough away from you.
I looked at all sorts of cages when I was getting mine, the Oreca seemed the best fitting one that required "extra" work but went for the SD cage in the end and it was pretty...
Just wondering what oil type and grade you use and how often you change it.
Last year I was using Elf 5W 40 and changing it after every full trackday.
Would I be better off getting a better quality 5W 40 and changing it every second or third trackday
The advantage to SD is they are powdercoated so it is just install and go but with most of the others they will need painting so factor that into your costs
best thing to do is pop into a local engineering company and ask them to machine the centre bore out
If you paid full price send them back and ask them to change them
Thats really bad I would be asking for at least partial refund as you have gave them two attempts to put it right.
You could have rattle canned them and got better results.
I thought about the PR 3 but dont think they suit the car as much as 1.2's .
If you want to try my 15" 1.2's at Bedford in Feb you are more than welcome to
I brought some of that silver grey last year, but thought it looked too much like primer, so I got some Halfords high temp metallic black and it comes out like a anthracite, similar to your injector cover
I am only thinking of adding the software to give me options at a later date if I needed as it works out cheaper buying it all together.
I would be taking it to EFI for the map anyway
