A/C I am not that fussed about tbh but if it could be kept all the better.
I had a email today with the breakdown of the prices the kit with ECU is £2338.8 + £178.8 for the software bundle (total £2517.6),
but if I brought the kit without the ECU and brought the ECU with the software bundle...
Thanks Tom
So you brought the "kit" bodies and ECU and it came with the dongle and software or was that extra?
Phase 1 is different to the phase 2 isn't it with the breather, the p2 has a 1mm ish hole and the p1 has some sort of plug am I right?
I have been thinking of fitting some throttle bodies to the track car.
I like the look of the Ktec kit as everything is in one package, also like the ECU as I really hate wires lol,
is it really as simple as unplug the standard ECU and plug into the Gen90?
I have my airbag lights turned off...
Not really a big job, if you know someone who can weld it will only cost you for the pipe, or if you took it to a exhaust place could not seeing it being more than about £50
Basically all you do is cut the joint off the cat to fit the new pipe and weld it on and then it becomes a sleeve joint...
The 182 has a sports cat as standard, the problem of it flopping is the crap joint between the cat and centre section, have a search for the "cat mod" and get that done
Moving along with this quickly.
That roof is in bad shape, what you going to do with it put the lining back or just leave it?
I assume the package was your carbon bonnet, I was tempted with that myself.
I have thought about that but it would not fit when it is in a box without the passenger seat being moved forward on the mounts, and I want to keep the two seats in the same position (looks better) lol
Just be careful with the long nuts as they are only aluminium and if they are made in China they may not be very good, also iirc they are about 50mm long so they will stick outside the wheel so it will not pass a MOT.
Thats what I use on my track car, they are high tensile steel bolts with steel nuts the same as pure motorsport but half the price, they also look identical to the PMS ones.
Your only about 30 mins from me, let me know when you are free one of the weekends and I will pop over and have a look.
Yeah still got a/c, I think a 30 battery would be the best solution.
Cheers Mark, I may do that if you dont mind.
Whereabouts in Litchfield are you any way
I was just thinking of driving to a trackday in the dark with lights on, radio and heater
I wonder if xenons will make a big difference as mine has them also.
@NorthloopCup What gauge cable you using for yours, and where have you earthed it to?
I had the ones from M.A.P.S ages ago, I brought the set for a BMW with 10 at 75mm long and 10 at 82mm long iirc and the 82mm long ones will take a 16mm spacer.
Just use some loctite 271 to fix them in
on the rear wheel
on the front wheel with 16mm spacer
on the car with no spacers
I emailed Merlin motorsport to see what their views were and he suggested to get the "30" size, this is part of the reply.
Now the 30 would end up being about £40 more expensive is it worth it to almost be guaranteed to start the car?
"I would suggest perhaps using the '30' size battery as the...
