Still chasing down an occasional misfire and shaking the car down before I start on the ITB conversion.
Today fitted magnecors, spare coil, fresh plugs (ones that came out were grim) a vibratechnics top engine mount and a walbro 255lph pump (had a non sport pump fitted bizarrely)
Made it...
It's home.
Fitted some 1.2 bullets I've sprayed black and drilled the airbox like a pikey!
Box feels great and the TTV has freed up the revs a lot.
Coilover spray I'm testing is holding up nicely too.
Disaster struck yesterday! Did you know the AA don't take you in the van now? PITA.
Dragged back to a mate's workshop, diff circlip, my bad :)
Could just fit a new circlip but I had a few bits lying around so I guess they'll get thrown on tomorrow....
Ex Sharky gearbox with a quaife in it...
Went to Exmoor today for a picnic.
May have grounded the front out a little.
Gorilla tape to the rescue until it's in for paint at the end of the summer. Looks a lot worse than it is, was already scuffed and slightly cracked so I've only added a little more damage. Already spoken to Scott...
Look what I found while mooching around Malmesbury today...
Scott has also put his preferred fast road settings on the suspension and it's epic, really engaging to drive. He's recommended I go to the stock front tyre width of 205 rather than the 225s fitted to stop any scrubbing on full lock...
My cup packed 133 on h&r springs really did handle better than my 172 cup on bilsteins. I'd set it up exactly like that, never managed to unstick it despite driving like a utter wanker.
