PistonHeads Sunday Service @ Goodwood Gallery, Dec 14 2014

All those cars and a K-reg Carlton steals the show (for me, anyway). The M2 looks pretty cool too but they are so disproportionate to normal saloon or coupe cars. Lovely selection of motors though and some great photos. I wish it was closer so I could've been there.

    Fault codes and lumpy idle

Pre-cat. That's the one everyone on here said it was... it was a right ballache too!

    Fault codes and lumpy idle

Nope! It drives completely fine (and smoothly) too. Just the idle is a bag of nuts.

    Fault codes and lumpy idle

Engine light stays solid and the idle is like this:

    Fault codes and lumpy idle

The one I posted above (red) meant it was still active, the (amber) one (I was told) meant that it's been a problem in the past and just stayed on CLIP as a record.

    Fault codes and lumpy idle

Oh bloody hell! The fault code did say DF018 Upstream oxygen sensor heating circuit though. How do you test for those again (I've done it once before but forgotten!).

Where is the plug for pre-cat lambda sensor?

Just done it... what a ballache! I was underneath the car on my back and my mate was messing in the bonnet area and together we just about managed it. Had to zip tie it to the roll bar though because the attatching bit snapped off the old one.

    Fault codes and lumpy idle

Just replaced the pre-cat one, still spluttering and the engine light is still on. The other was BLACK though. Does the fault code have to be reset before it'll stop spluttering? Or will it sort itself out?

Clio mk4 diesel from the Netherlands!

Very nice! The wheels really suit it and the GT bumper and front wrapping look great. Keep up the good work - it's nice to see something different :)

    Saxo turbo

I'd put it back to worse than standard. Have a nice sleeper.

Where is the plug for pre-cat lambda sensor?

Is it easier from the top or still fiddly? Unsure whether to just take it to the mechanic or not.

Where is the plug for pre-cat lambda sensor?

Cheers, only accessable from below then? (This is a 182 - forgot to mention).

Where is the plug for pre-cat lambda sensor?

As above! I know it's a PITA to get to but where actually is it? I couldn't even see it...

Someone to put a 98 ron map for me

As above. You'd have to pay for an unlock code, then they load the map, then you'd have to pay for yet another unlock code to get it back onto their car.

    Diesel 182 dual exhausts?

I'd be tempted to get a custom jobby that goes around the spare wheel well but they don't come cheap!

    Milltek exhaust fitting

I used a few zip ties to raise my mounts (they had collapsed like most other 182s). That raised the exhaust nicely :)
