Spotted a Mondial Blue 172 Cup near Chesterfield whilst on route to a work related training course this morning at around 9:10. I waved and I'm pretty sure they waved back - was that anyone on here?
If you're a fan of luxuries then a standard 172 or 182 FF would be the way to go. As mentioned, for piece of mind, look to get one with good service history/plenty of documented evidence of regular maintenance. It's particularly important to know about whether the belts and tensioners have been...
Fitted the Powerflex polybush kit to the dogbone gearbox mount, changed the upper driver's side engine mount (what a difference they made to the gearchange!), and slopped on plenty of Hammerite Underbody Seal on the areas behind the front wheels which appeared to be wearing a bit thin!
I've read elsewhere on here that 25-30Nm is more than enough? 65Nm sounds like quite a lot for plugs going into an ali head :S

Yeah that's me! Many people have bought Clio 1*2s as a result of all his positive feedback it seems :)

By the way, did you own a red mk2 polo saloon at one point? My bro used to have a Mk3 Polo coupe and knew someone called Max from the VW/Audi scene! Apologies if I'm barking up the wrong tree.
Replaced the thermostat, cleaned up the throttle body and fitted a Pipercross Panel Filter. The engine now warms more quickly and maintains a steady temperature, and definitely seems a bit more responsive. Happy! :)
Most people are aware that the dipstick is the primary source for checking the level of oil in the engine and that it should be checked regularly! The oil pressure warning light is really only to alert you in an emergency.
That'd be the solenoid for the dephaser pulley. Once the oil pressure reaches a certain level (dependant on engine rpms), the solenoid actuates it to change the inlet camshaft timing :)
Great pictures! :) The lighting was horrible and made the Clio Trophy look a bit brown!
Seeing the Speed 12 there was a great surprise - what a monster! The only other time I saw a Speed 12 in the flesh was at the motorshow back in the late 90s. Looked something like this:
Just a show car maybe?
Depends how much you want to spend; you can pick up a Skoda splitter for less than £20 off eBay which, with a little bit of a modification, can be attached to the bottom of the front bumper. This is a popular modification and considered to be the best value for money.
Panel filter wise, there...
