I have lots to update here when I get time.
Inc taking the Laguna off road (it survived!), Bending my towing-bar in half and having another broken Clio on my drive.
oh Good! Let's see if I can push it past that.
I need to get on there.
Yeah all the boost pipes will be black silicone and hard pipes where required.
Get it done!
Plan is to get it running at standard ish power, get a few miles down, then get power upped.
I'd love 200hp & 325+ LBFT. which should be do-able, however I'll probably kill the Pk6 gearbox.
Ah good.
I know lol, don't have time to stop.
Might be next weekend that I want some assistance. Ill let you know.
And ahh good, he hadn't said yet. I'll give you some cash when I see you next.
New turbo last year! Should be good for a few years yet.
Here's the best of an engine. Looks...
Yeah I'll be blanking the EGR while I'm there again, fit the EGT sensor again too. I knew it had a VNT from the way it drives and revs, tis good.
Yeah I reckon it could probs do with another service too, but it'll obviously get that.
Belts easy enough to do on these? I guess same locking...
:D
Sounds pretty gay. I guess it must be naturally open? Deffo sounds like it has a boost leak, so probs missing out on some power there! Plus it smokes a bit.
Indeed, I had already dropped a couple of hints, more to come for those that are a bit slower.
Is indeed...
Exactly what I thought it was, That'll be getting fucked off then.
Its actually very oil-free apart from that valve, its obviously had a minor boost leak on the front pipe at some point, but thats been solved and its all nice and dry.
I do hate that yellow s**t. Gearbox is good aswell!
What...
Yesterday I got a new battery for ventura's PH1. Went for an 027 which has a bit more cranking amps, and is slightly taller (Non issue with the battery box)
Now starts first time, everytime. MOT Thursday!
Then onto today/tonight. Had a bloody terrible day at work, loads of problems and stuff...
Lol! I've seen belts like that far too often. People got lucky.
I look forward to hearing it. I was in your neck of the woods tonight too, check my thread soon.
Awesome!
Sorry I missed your call today, it was a terrible day at work and then I was out buying a car (check my thread in a min), I'll give you a shout tomorrow evening.
Lol at you buying a 182 wheel.
My non-sport has twin tone horns, its just because yours is a poverty Ph2 rather than my epic Ph3 lol.
Gearbox mount is a large improvement, with a new top engine mount, and a sport dogbone (less movement than a non-sport) and it'll be epic.
As always!
Was a relief to hear it fire up without any PAS pump whine!
Cheers, I love it too.
I don't really know the full cost, but intercooler was circa £50, plus boost hoses to mate up to the standard 80 pipework, but with yours being a 65, it'll be more expensive.
Cheers dude :)
Got the RB finished today.
Old cambelt cover was well f**ked.
So a nice shiney one was fitted.
New aux belt kit, Old belt got covered in PAS fluid, plus it'd need replacing next year anyway.
Mostly back together, New top alternator bolt to replace the missing one, replacement PAS pump...
You're a massive gay.
What time you finish? Its only an hour there, and its not like you have to be there at 6, I'm never there at 6. I'll be getting there around 7ish.
Thats where you need to get to a point, where those parts you have left, don't really owe you any money, or its not worth the hassle, so bin them.
I still have Clio bits, but thats because I'm likely to find a use for them someday. I threw all the old parts from vehicles I broke (My old SV650...
I'd do it, I've broke a fair few cars. Yeah I still have parts from each vehicle, but it helps with the spares package for my fleet.
Just expect some bits to be around for a couple of months.
