Cheers bud!
I have to be, too much to do, zero time etc. The joys of having Clio-owning friends eh?!
I think it needs Ph2 rear lights. Is a bit odd how it is atm, Ph1 bumpers are a bit gash though;
I'm bloody loving the cooler. Got a semi everytime I've seen it through the grill tonight...
I'm sick of it already lol.
Shouldn't take much/long at all. Although I keep adding to the list as I find things I'm not happy with.
Damn! Oh well I'll just have to find time to measure mine (or the black one, since I don't think I have half the boost pipes on that currently).
Very...
At least it went better than I had imagined in my head. Looking dirty, messy and busy as always.
I had to! It was minging!
Properly impressed with it so far, bar the minor things that are wrong, its a very good, nice car. And sounds awesome obviously!
Lol.
Yeah using all the 80 pipework, and just extending it. I'll eventually (when 1.9'd) convert it all to silicone/hard pipes, but for now, a bodge up will do.
Annoyingly I forgot to measure the ID of the existing boost pipes, Don't suppose you have a spare set (or can measure a spare...
Todays work....
Few Clios about..
First up, fitment of my FMIC...
Studs holding it in place, Notice how f**ked my 80 intercooler is.
Studs cut down, and bumper refitted. I f**king love how awesome it looks. Not functional yet, just need to sort a couple of hoses, getting on that this...
Airbag is mucho better.
Are the Twingo and Scenic definitely the same spline fitment?
I bow to you doing your tracking like that, I'd much rather pay for mine to be done. Even using the dunlop gauges my mate has, I just CBA!
I'm glad you answered all that.
Tonight I bought a screwdriver...
Boost pipe popped off, this driver will now be staying in my car, incase of future emergancy.
Intercooler is going to look good, Will give it a semi test fit tomorrow maybe.
Cheeky post that didn't show up!
Probably is, I'm not really that fussed now. Get that EGR blanked, I can even tell you how now lol.
Yeah, but its nice having the brakes back to normal.
Sounds like everybody wants a dribble over it.
Few bits to update here...
The other night I stripped all the boost pipes, EGR housing etc off my Clio to fit a EGR blank and EGT sensor...
Nicely caked inlet pipe
And housing
Now have a working EGT gauge, I plan to remove the housing (just disconnected EGR valve atm), but we'll see...
Missed services, oil drain in the turbo has been filled with sludge and crap, blocking the drain and leaving the only exit for the oil to be through the seals.
Exactly what happend on my 80. Also, no play in the shaft, so thats not always the tell-tale.
As expected though, I agree turbo. It...
Sorry, I must have ABS on the brain or something.
I hadn't noticed that on the belts, but then I hadn't looked into the car that deep by the time we gave up with it.
Tis cool :), got most of what I planned done.
Its the first time I've ever hung all the keys up, made me lul.
No pics of tonights progress, got most of the 1.2 done, Just need to change a CV boot, Wheel bearing and all the springs.
More progress tomorrow I hope.
You missed the laugh about that A/C rad.
Scott pulled the rads out of his van, and I said "Its lucky you can't see them when fitted, else you'd be replacing those".. Followed by Scott pulling a box out of his van, with a new A/C rad in it. I just stood stunned.
Progress is awesome as I said...
Agree with this, Ventura got a proper bad deal.
Faxo, Check the seat wiring is all plugged in properly. I suspect the ABS module has an issue or two, you'll be able to confirm once the light is fixed. I wouldn't trust anything on it.
Certainly is, I'll be giving it all a goood clean, mostly because it'll be nicer to work on then!
Today has been a mostly productive day, not as productive as I would have liked, but dodging rain and wind, made it quite hard.
Loads of stuff wasn't photographed, just getting on with things...
