I use the flywheel mark to get the crank pin location. Get it where I think it is roughly using the cams and then find the mark on the flywheel, line it up with the bell housing mark before slipping in the locking pin.

With shot blasted and coated hubs, they'd maybe clear fine, the massive build up with rust certainly doesn't help.
The current issue is the lines are too long and rub on the wheel at full lock.
Had a pair of tyres delivered the other day, so dug out some spare wheels I had.

Bit of an update..
Recently rode a very loud motorbike, and didn't die...
Took the drivers seat out to hoover everything and remove the little spacers under the seat to get it a bit lower.
Vacuumed the whole interior, wet vac'd the seats and floor mats, Will give it another going over...
Lots of garages mess it up by not getting the timing 100% spot on, which requires the genuine tools, which won't spend out. Plus you can't just tipex these.
I'm not sure whos your nearest specialist, but I would recommend taking it to one.

Thats not enough for his problems Scott, we were discussing it at the Ace, due to the bloody extreme temps, even loctite won't do. Its due to the actual metals expanding.
