Only caught a glimse of the Inferno, was busy doing a job this morning and just caught a bright orange Clio in the corner of my eye and quickly swung round to see a 182 flying past. and a 197 F1 through takeley this evening, was too out of it to wave.

Pulley Locking Tool - What Goes Where?

I use the flywheel mark to get the crank pin location. Get it where I think it is roughly using the cams and then find the mark on the flywheel, line it up with the bell housing mark before slipping in the locking pin. Faxo I was looking forward to doing the belt & dephaser on that car due to...

    Eibach Camber Bolts

Tracking will wear the tyres 10x faster than Camber. I'd rather have a tiny tiny amount of tyre wear for the improved feel of the car with camber.

Pure Motorsport Top mounts - Preloaded bearings questions.

So I've had some Pure Motorsport solid top mounts on my daily DCi since November (Circa 20k miles) and I've recently noticed some odd noises from the front suspension. Had a few bits off tonight and noticed I have a visable amount of movement in the bearing (up/down mostly) so looks like I'm due...

    Dr Jekyll's Ph1 172 Progress Thread

Certainly not, I'm just bloody bored of messing with Marks brakes... Fitting all the refurbed calipers, discs & pads = one late night. Re-bleed = Few hours next day Then fitting Hi-specs the first time = another late night Back to return to standard after the above the next morning... Then...

    Dr Jekyll's Ph1 172 Progress Thread

With shot blasted and coated hubs, they'd maybe clear fine, the massive build up with rust certainly doesn't help. The current issue is the lines are too long and rub on the wheel at full lock.

    What To Change?

Lots of garages mess it up by not getting the timing 100% spot on, which requires the genuine tools, which won't spend out. Plus you can't just tipex these. I'm not sure whos your nearest specialist, but I would recommend taking it to one. A specialist will also advise on exactly what you...

    Essex Meet 26/7/14 (Relocated)

Its the studs coming loose I believe. Nordlock washers were suggested the other day. More power doesn't necessarily mean higher temps either, which is the issue here.

    Essex Meet 26/7/14 (Relocated)

Thats not enough for his problems Scott, we were discussing it at the Ace, due to the bloody extreme temps, even loctite won't do. Its due to the actual metals expanding.
