I used to run some alloy Volk Racing ones on the Impreza, they were very high quality alloy but i think anything less and i wouldn't trust them. There's a reason you're not allowed to use alloy/aluminium nuts in any motorsport.
I use Acer Titanium on the Cayman of which are also very nice...
Rear ARB is a nice addition with no trade off IMO.
I'm only fitting the top-mounts to accompany my other suspension bits and they came up at the right money?
Bimmec, personally couldn't see an difference between them or the PMS. Only the A1T studs look to be significantly different/better quality.
I did find a full titanium kit, but resisted as i knew you would make fun of me :D
Er… y e a h.
Its only really a few bits and bobs though. I've got some way to catch up with you boys :D
Even i admit i've kinda got a little carried away as once the "im keeping it stock" gloves came off, well its all fair game isn't it. :D
New ones for mine arrived yesterday, if i didn't have bad luck, id have no luck at all.
One random long stud and 2 nuts short. 😅
(Picking error, they’re sending me replacements)
Well the mappings gonna have to wait, option B happened but they need overhauling and a clean up/protecting before i can fit them to the car. I'll probably fit up my dampers first and then do the RCK hubs afterwards to note the difference in performance.
It will last better than VHT which is literally useless for brakes. It just wipes off and has no corrosion inhibitors at all. It will just rust through. The only issue you will have with Hammerite silver is it will yellow quite quickly and even more so if you get them hot. They'll stay looking...
Obviously a harness bar doesn't provide the same protection as a cage, but how can they not be as good with regard to belt angle?
The belt angles are okay within a give window, im sure any quality harness bar will support the belts at the correct angel no different to a cage?
Or have i missed...
Ha, I’m not made of money ya know. 😂
From what I’ve seen I’m not sure 197 cams offer a great deal over just the std ones with GrpN settings?
RS2s are also few/far between with most of the gains being up top are they not?
Lmao at you lot.
The Cayman wears all spherical bearings up front (RSS Tarmac coffin arms etc) and thats used mostly on road, however does about 3-6k miles per annum.
The Clio does approx 13k per annum and used every day and in all weathers.
I’m aware they would require regular...
Mines on totally stock map so my next area of attention is the map/timing and or a pair of RCK hubs. Cars a daily driver as you know but just want to make the best package out of it.
So...
You’ve got £500 for your next upgrade to the car and you only have the following 2 options:
a) Group N timing & map
b) Roll Centre Correction hubs.
Asking for a friend.
Lol. Walk into a dealer and said, mate, see that fiesta over there.
I want an aerial.
ta.
I don’t dick about with part numbers on current production models mate. 😏
Its called blue/black pearl. Black in almost every light but in direct sunlight it was a dark blue pearl. Was a stunning colour to be honest.
They made 1000 Prodrive editions, 900 in WR blue (02C) and 100 in blue/black. (08V).
Wheels we’re 18x8 Speedline Turinis as I’m sure you’d already...
