    Yes i watched.

    Where’s my caster?

Yes it does. Just measures the change in dynamic camber and calculated the static caster. The plates on the wheels have circles on them and the cameras measure the ovality of the circles as the wheels go through their range of motion.

    Where’s my caster?

Thanks Zach, as I suspected. But that doesn’t explain the zero change in caster post RCC hubs. It’s always had less caster than desired. So whilst your drawing makes sence in theory. It doesn’t appear to be the issue I may be suffering from. If indeed I have an issue at all 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Where’s my caster?

Not seen these. I assume you shun them back and forth or is the rear bush eccentric and allows the ball to be moved forward? I’ll have a butchers. Thanks.

    Where’s my caster?

So because they’re lower they effectively make the strut stand more upright? I must admit I’m seriously tempted to re drill a set of lower arms and move the balljoints further forward.

    Where’s my caster?

Interesting as to why you lost caster post fitting the roll centre hubs Eddie. Doesn’t make sense to me, but I’m obviously missing something. Lol

Car Battery Charger. Buying Advice needed

Been running one of these for over 10 years on the Imprezas PC680 and never ever have I had a flat battery. Also one in an IP65 housing with the traffic light connector on the Cayman. Great bits of kit.

    Where’s my caster?

Not sure really mate. You’re always limited with these places as to how well they know how to use the alignment equipment they have or if they just make it all “green” on screen and give it back to you. I used to have a fantastic alignment place local but not anymore.

    Where’s my caster?

Where’s my caster? Okay, so I’m wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this. Basically my car has a lot less caster than I expect it should have. I’m lead to believe they should run around 3.10 degrees of static caster from the factory, of which I’ve seen plenty of cars running. My car...

    Q: front caster

Did you ever run these arms with relocated ball joints and how did your caster angle measure up?

    Water less coolant

No need, coolant is cheap and easy to replace and more than effective. If you ever have an issue with the waterless stuff you’re screwed as you can’t top it up in an emergency. I’ve never seen any substantial benefit to using any kind of waterless coolant to justify using it.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

It’s actually dropped due to such short journeys at the moment as it’s only really going to Tesco or the pharmacy. It usually does 50 miles a day and sits around 36/37 mpg. I also don’t drive it like a nob, and being an automotive engineer, I tend to drive cars with a higher degree of...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Finally the very last piece of my hub swap arrived in the form of 2 new Bosch ABS sensors. I cleaned the holes and sprayed with Dynax before installing as hopefully this should stop them ever welding themselves in again. Also nice to not have my dash lit up like a Christmas tree as it has been...

    The Petrol Blue Project continued

I’ve just taken off my Genuine cup splitter for a Fabia one before I break it. Don’t waste your money on genuine. It’s really not worth it

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I’ve been fortunate enough to drive a few expensive and special things and I have to say a well kept Porsche drives different to almost everything else. They’re funny things that really get under your skin. There aren’t many cars I’ve driven that feel so completely engineered the way they do...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Please don’t look up Porsche window seals then. 😂 Porsche parts are funny things. Anything performance related is absolutely outrageous, I mean full on bonkers expensive. Most OEM parts are bloody steep and then you occasionally find something you expect to be expensive and it’s weirdly cheap...

    Fuel Filler Cap hinge

You’re welcome to buy one. But I wanted a genuine OEM one as I wasn’t prepared to have it arrive at the BodyShop and be a poor fit.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Almost out of Clio jobs to do and am struggling to get paint for the bullets and ally engine parts. Excitement during lockdown got the better of me to fitted these up to the Cayman today. RRS semi solid transmission mounts. For obvious reasons I’ve only driven around the block to check for...

    Fuel Filler Cap hinge

Not new it isn’t. New it’s only available as part of the fuel door, it all PIA. Cost about £50. Ask me how I know. 😅
