Stainless ABS brackets arrived. Also arrived were the strut lower lock nuts from @Simon@ASTUK, thank you sir. 👌🏼
Brackets are pukka, but like many of these things, the supplied hardware was s**t. The only stainless M6x12 I had was a countersunk so had to add some panel washers. Quite possibly...
Guys,
Can anyone confirm this is the correct radiator for my 182 FF?
It states the part numbers match, but when I enter my registration it says “part not comparable”
Can anyone confirm for me that this is correct...
If you haven’t already, perhaps look at swapping to a LiFe04 battery. You’ll save more weight and cost less by time you factor in paint and fitting.
Let’s be honest, composite parts are always shite quality and will look hideous on a daily.
So, today’s cleaning job, the scuttle.
I was keen to check the scuttle drains were nice and clear as this can cause trouble at a later date. I think looking at it, this was last done before I sold it in 2015 and hasn’t been done since.
Wiper arms and scuttle panels removed and cleaned. Also...
Well those under arches need a bloody good scrub anyway. But after today’s weather, I figured I’d do them another time.
As mentioned, I’ve got a few other parts to go on so it will all be fresh and new under there anyway.
Hope so. I purchased them brand new so cost more than most 182s. Hopefully if I look after them the way I intend to, they should remain in good condition for a long time to come.
So continuing to Carpé Diem thanks to the lockdown, I managed to crack on with another job I’ve been putting off due to time.
I battled some crazy changeable weather today and fitted my AST 5100 dampers. These were fitted alongside PMS spherical bearing topmounts and matching brace.
The drilled...
I have a Nilfisk C130 as a backup washer if ever I need it. But after going through 3 Karchers and 2 Nilfisks in 6 years I pulled the trigger (excuse the pun) on a Kranzle.
My main washer is a Kranzle 1050TS.
Of the budget friendly washers, I found the Nikkfisk to be better than the rest.
Keep...
Check the following:
Inner/outer track rod ends
Steering rack bushes
Tyres - huge change in steering feel based on sidewall stiffness
Topmounts
Bottom ball joint
Anti roll bar bushes
Lower arm bushes.
All of the above affect steering feel and geometry. So unfortunately could be any of the...
Ah that’s a shame. Typical, I’ve a spare Nilfisk you could borrow too.
let me know how you feel about the bushes. I’ve got brand new genuine OEM bushes sitting here, but now the focus of the car has changed I’m going to fit poly.
Whilst I’m absolutely itching to go for a drive, It’s not about you, it’s about others.
If you have an accident, break down or anything else. You’re then calling on the assistance of others and potentially removing medical and emergency services that are far more required elsewhere right now...
i had to track one down for mine. It’s from a Honda Integra.

Exceptional job as usual mate with the superb levels of detail we have all come to expect.
So glad you like the BTM, they really are a nice bit of kit imo and you’ve done a beautiful job polishing that one up.
Makes me wanna drop my 3rd hanger now to give it a paint haha.
Stay safe dude, lookin...
