Spent a bit more time on editing this time and got some more camera views too, hopefully a more interesting watch!
Loved the track, and the 2-hour downpour we had in the middle of the day was awesome, such a good challenge in the wet. Will be back!

Check out the aero paint...

Bit of rain!

Chilling at camp site on Friday evening
Q1 - Renaults seemed to have a lot more body roll than other cars. RBs and Ferraris were visibly much faster through here than anyone else...
It was £7100. Looked at a couple of more expensive cars that were newer and/or with slightly better spec (independent rear suspension, LSD) but this one was so tidy/well done.
Anyway - sorry PSJ, I'll stop stealing your thread now!
Thanks man, at least we both know how fun they are like to drive ;) Very impressed by your dedication to daily driving though, no way I could do it!
It's very true that top end speed is extremely limited by the poor aero (they have a worse drag coefficient than a Hummer H2 for god's sake!) and...
As said - Westfield. The Dax/Locust/MK don't seem as well built as either Cateringvans or Westys, but even better smiles:£ ratio as you get a similar performing car for less cash.
It seems that these cars are more about the people who've built/maintained them than the actual car, a well-specced...
Coolio, cheers for that. Might as well pull it off and strip it down, as I'd need it off to change the caliper anyway... :)
To confirm though - I was pretty sure they do run on sliders...
Hi gents,
After a bit of rear brake help if poss please!
Was having a few issues with the right rear brake locking last weekend at Blyton... Did it in a straight line and under trail braking. Don't remember the left wheel doing it (either in a straight line or trail braking)...
Brakes have...
Hey Ash,
Haha, cheers mate, it does seem to have come together reasonably well actually, slightly shocked!
21st July... could be on for that, who's it with? Done 2 track days in the Clio now so all set.
Oops. New toy.
Update on tyres:
Doing very well still, plenty of grip and wear rate is good. Done about 220 track miles now, down to 5mm front and 6mm rear tread depth (from 6.5mm).
Power steering was also fine after I bodged on a mini catch tank, not a drop escaped in 85 laps of Bylton...
Went to Blyton Park yesterday with Apex Trackdays, great value day out - managed 85 trouble and traffic-free laps!
Circuit is actually very entertaining, trickier than it looks to put together clean laps. Some fast bits, some tight slow bits, plenty of run-off (see the end of the video :o), no...
I've got some and they seem decent (copy and paste from another thread):
I've not used 888s before, but have used Dunlop DJ01s (which I believe are the older version of these: http://www.demon-twe...nlop+track+tyre). The Federals seem very very nearly as good in the dry, maybe not QUITE as...
Yeah that's what I thought might happen, tread blocks too small :( They are apparently REALLY good in the wet though which I guess is what they are designed for, so don't give them too much of a hrd time, hehe.
For the setup, from memory I think most people tend to run the rear lower than the...
Decent tyres + RARB + good geo/corner weighting = done!
I've got a good balance on mine now, can sling it into the turns under balanced throttle and it'll be very neutral, very very slight understeer which is instantly cured by a small lift. Might stiffen the RARB a touch to see if that dials...
Saw both these cars on my way up from Northampton on Sunday evening - was behind the V6 rep for a while on M6 north around Brum in that traffic jam. The TV on the roof made me chuckle.
The 207 was making some evil noises!! Blasted up the outside lane past me and there was a lot of chattering :P
Been for sale for a while, no idea how it hasn't sold! Need to shift it to make space for a new car, so now running an auction: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220788951084
Thanks,
Adam
Camera mount looks sweet :) Is it bolted into the seat belt mounts?
I would possibly get a couple of bits of flat plate steel and wrap them round the battery though, bolting them into the same place your tray is!
Popped some thoughts down in this post:

In short:
Dry - not quite as good as 888s from what people have said, the extra grooves make them squirm a bit more and heat up faster.
Wet -...
Thanks Tony - looking back I think the car does have enough pull in 3rd. Something to bear in mind for future too, cheers!
Thanks - yeah it was crazy quiet as George says below...
Haha, yeah it was awesome, so tempting for 'just one more lap'...
