More home made stuff :o
Clip on sun visor for my roll cage. Can make 2 for under a fiver!
I've put a thread in the Guides section which should hopefully be approved soon...
Haha, nice... Maybe gaffer tape some fireproof cloth to it or something?
Glove box...
You know what's next ;)
Needs about 30-40mm off the side, or - if you are a numpty like me - you'll take 30mm off then realise you have to remove the front part of the cage to get the dash back out to cut...
I think it was about £660 TPF&T for the year, quite a lot compared to other figures I've seen on here, but:
- PR6 postcode (D region, so one of the worst)
- No NCD (it's all on my main car)
And I'm 27, company director with no points.
Got my 172 Cup insured with Adrian Flux, premium wasn't the absolute cheapest as I had just changed car and kept with them rather than having the faff of refunds, admin fees, etc etc, but I think I have just 'benefited' from that!
Car was already insured with stripped interior, only 2 front...
Good stuff! I would perhaps give the drill a go with the flapping disc, but I think using the grinder instead might be faster/easier, one of these badboys: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00TMmEUHaCRfgD/4-1-2-Aluminum-Oxide-Flap-Disc-with-Plastic-Base.jpg - they seem to be pretty quick at...
Here you go.
Top one on arch:
Bottom one on arch:
And the ones that the rear seat pan mount to.
'Vertical' (just behind the front seats, 4 of them from memory):
'Horizontal' (on the flat bit where the rear seat pan goes):
You can work out pretty clearly where they are tacked on...
Thanks mate. Cage went in well in the end :-)
Anything is possible with one of these:
Took about 5 mins, then used a flapping disc to tidy up afterwards, can grab a photo if you like :)
Thanks guys - much appreciated!
Latest update:
Dear Mr previous owner (who worked at a main Ford stealership and changed the rear discs while he owned the car),
I hope you use copper grease on customer's cars.
Oh, and don't fit the pads on the wrong side, so one of them sits at an angle...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Yeah, effort to replace one seal though :(
Did some digging and found this: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?530663-Leaking-gearbox-help&highlight=gearbox+rebuild - sounds like 'keep an eye on it for now' is best...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Well - I did wonder that. I figured it might only be a slightly leaky seal, or something minor like that, so for £7 it was worth a shot. At least now I know it's nothing too serious, so I can fix it properly when the gearbox inevitably decides to s**t itself and needs a...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Exactly the same on mine... Tried some of this: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_193171_langId_-1_categoryId_165750 - seems to have worked!
Have fun with the car, looks like it will be pretty similar to...
Youtube is your friend :)

Watch as many vids as you can, then do a few test bits.
Just sent dave172 some pics by PM, hopefully they may be of use for future...
Here is what you are looking for. 1 goes to the breather pipe on the inlet manifold (I think!), 2 faces downwards into the cannister (black, about the size of a brick). If you put your finger over 2 you can feel...
I was thinking garish... but brown... I like it... Problem is it won't look that great in PS, just looks like dirty gold (like Scoobys), which is actually quite nice...
Exactly the same here (added a cage and RARB free of charge) - seems that stuff that doesn't increase BHP is all free with them. No admin charges for adding the stuff on either, win! Not sure which underwriter it is, but I'm with Flux too.
Weeelllllll... I'm still faffing about with it :rasp:
Made some brake deflector plates:
More info: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?571387-Brake-Ducts-Pipe-directly-to-rotor-or-deflector-plate&p=7646676&viewfull=1#post7646676
And fitted RARB. Need to pay with settings as it...
