Yep, a teeny bit. I have a full geo sheet somewhere, will have a look and post back if I can find it...

Ah, so it's you who bought it! There is a LOT of work in that engine mate (guy who built my race MX-5 built that car too), bet it goes bloody well. Enjoy!
Re: 2006 Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0 TFSi - Race Blue - Hatchback - 115k Miles - Revo Stage
Sorry, just remembered about this thread! I think I have replied to you? Cheers.
@ Adam: Haha, thanks. Was pretty tricky in the damp bits. Yeah, happens all the time, even more in my MX-5!
@ Englebert: Cheers dude, was a fun day!
Haha - well the reason I love the MX-5 is because it is so slow, therefore you have to work hard in the bends and braking zones. It's also very...
I like the sound of that, IMO too many people aim for huge power without thinking about long-term effects! Not like it'll be slow with 260bhp and all that torque everywhere anyway...
Dry sump: It's a bit of a weird term I think, as it kind of implies there is no oil in the sump! The Wiki...
Nope, think the Burp chaps run something like 4.5 up front and 3.5 at the rear?
However, the main thing to note is that this sort of thing is pretty personal, and depends on other stu like tyres, shocks, car weight, etc, so only you can work out what works best for you :)
I ran 2.8 up...

Cheers guys - glad to see plenty of MX-5 love here!
Tis a very very fun car to drive to be honest, you really have to wring it's neck and make the most of cornering speeds, so it's a good challenge.
Hamilton is quality (never had the balls to take it completely flat :( maybe in the race car) -...
Re: 2006 Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0 TFSi - Race Blue - Hatchback - 115k Miles - Revo Stage
Price drop to £4195 - I have researched the AC issue further after a question from a potential buyer, and it seems the N280 valve in the compressor could be at fault. It does spin up to the correct RPM, and...

Any questions, give me a shout on here or the 'Bay :)

Oh bugger :( All sorted now though (apart from the pads)? What happened with the plugs and leads?
I had some RC5s do that to me, when I bought those from K-Tec they 100% assured me the RC5+ (which they are) would NOT do the same! If you need the original invoice / order confirmation for any...
Yep, I know that now!
Anyway, I popped (I say popped, the weather and traffic was crap so it took ages) over to Sheffield on Friday after Rodders had very kindly offered to help me get the engine sorted. As most of you will no doubt know, he runs Roddisons Motorsport and is the man for MX-5...
Yeah, it won't happen again! The way I keep looking at it, is that it's one of the cheapest engines I'll ever own - I can get a new bottom end for £75, or a complete engine for £100 - so it's a cheap lesson. Plus I'll learn how to swap it.
Anyway, here's a vid. First ~4 mins and last 30 seconds...
Well, my first race weekend was an interesting one.
I was on a bit of a downer Saturday afternoon/evening and most of today, but have finally been able to put a positive spin on it.
Left work a bit early on Friday (4) so I could get to Anglesey for some tea and in time to put my tent up...
