They weren't original stripes on mine. You can tell by the Stevie Wonder effort by the rear number plate!
Looking back I liked the stripes, but if I get another, I'd be stripe-free!
Literally the same for me, swapped from a Windows laptop to a MacBook Air in 2012.
I've used it every single day since and apart from needing a new charger, it hasn't needed a thing.
2000+ charge cycles so far too.
I'd certainly recommend one dependant on your budget of course.

The Wraith that is sometimes parked opposite doesn't fit in the spaces either, but they seem to survive ticket-free.
Sad to see a part of the CS furniture go but as others have said, there are definitely more important priorities than old Clios :)
