180 I think.
When you look at these prices compared to doing anything with a Clio, it's cheap.
I'd even thought about selling mine; and doing each race meeting in a different car.
That would be fun.
BUDGET RACING WITH THE EMPHASIS ON BUDGET
The Track Attack Race Club announce the lunch of what they believe to be the cheapest way into circuit racing today, the 206GTi Production Cup.
Utilising the 206Gti Hot Hatch this is latest offering from TARC to make entering motor sports affordable...
Ah yes, but if you don't go like a hero for 30 laps at a time, and do 4-5 then come in, brakes shouldn't really be a problem.
But some like to get their money's worth, and hammer the car from dawn to dusk. Strange really.
Pressures fluctuate dramatically with track temps and driving style, so do keep checking them, otherwise you will kill a set of tyres in no time.
On a warm/hot day, the race car can start as low as 19psi in the front! (cold)
Good post Frasr, and agree, as mine still isn't perfect, but what I was saying is, that if somebody just chucks a set of coilovers on, and they are all different heights, this will effect how the car handles.
I know there is more to it than that, as everything, and it's a right minefield.
Not...
You would def feel a vibration of some sort if it was a disc. Never had a warped disc so wouldn't know, don't know how people can do it really.
As bloke says, high spot on pad, but nothing to worry about.
Come and join us at Track Attack Race Club, we run a 'Standard class' all you need is, roll cage, fire ex and cut off switch. What could be cheaper than!
Bob, why don't you come to our trackday in March Sat 7th, it's at Rockingham, so it will give you a little practice.
Be good to see you...
Don't agree, if somebody just chucks coilovers on, the weight distribution could/ will be miles out.
I'd like to get it somewhere near to start with tbh.
I've said before, I can get my road car with everything in, sets, c d's, shopping bags etc, around Brands in 59-60 sec.
The race car does 55-56, but that ain't bad, plus I didn't cook the brakes and was on pet's, it was fun enough.
