Tiny amount of grease on the splines , pivot point cap and sheeve thing that the rease bearing slides up n down on (thing with two bolts in picture just do the shaft)
Don't go crazy witb the grease.
Much wrong with the box that was rebuilt?
Thats not a freak of an engine nor standard. Id also say cams.
Bring it along to our RRday in August. The rollers we use are pretty much spot but the ones you used yesterday seem very consistent in the figures.
Very intetesting though;)...
All i know was it had a massive fuel pump. And a laptop where the passenger seat was. But had a few efi stickers on it?
He sat there bouncing off the limiter and even letting big v8 wide wheeled drag cars have a head start then boof he'd shoot past.
Shall get one sorted for the end of the year hopefully.
Shall have to go to racewars if possible. Flat out side by side to a cone turnround and get back.;)
Subarus wasn't trying lol;)
That three wheeler was a prize tit on the way back like a biddy on the brakes all the time.
Cheers Amos

Good to catch up Don:)
Some mad cars or folk with more money than sense lol. Great to see davedreads wipe the floor with a scooby in the dog kennel.
Shall be running mine next time as sitting in the grandstand gives you sunburnt...
Im no expert when it comes to gearbox but.
If i remember rightly most of the jc5 boxes share the same internals as one another bar the bolted diff in the jc5 130.
I also remember reading that the final drive ratio is different.
Maybe someone like Fred@BTM can confirm as he does a few...
I had a ball joint fail on my old works van. Never been so scared in my life. Everthing collapsed and i was heading straight for head on collision with a car coming the other way.
Yes you are right they should have paypal. But i had no problems when i ordered spares via payment of iban. Worse...
MarcR maybe able to get you the part number or pm Adam@renault wolverhampton
I used brake cleaner when i used to clean mine, makes very light work of grease spray on and wipe excess off after
Box needs splitting to fit genuine seal.
Unless its for rebuild i wouldn't bother..
If i was you i would sort the driveshaft leak, clean all the underside of the box up and around the selector seal.
Top the gear oil up and monitor it.
I fitted one and it still leaked. Thought it was user error so ordered another and some extra seals.
Took it out refitted with new seals still leaked. Gear box packed up so had it rebuilt and genuine seal put back in and its sound now.(touch wood)
Sold all the spares on. Ime a waste of time...
As Don has previously said
meet at corley services at 7:30 and leave at 7:45 prompt and a steady drive down.
So if you are running late we will see you all there;)
Sound Loz H see you saturday
:rasp:
I think it didn't help with domsclio off here doing passenger ride sprints up the back road of the carpark in his supercharged clio.
It was funny though lol.
