I honesty don't know how anyone does without a rear wiper! my rear screen gets proper caked in shite! I have to spray and wipe it on pretty much every journey!
Does look better though, I'll give you that lol
Quick update...
The stereo surround arrived.
And fitted...

It’s an option I haven’t ruled out to be honest. I’m not a racing stripe kind of person, and white ones might look weird with the anthracite wheels and bullets, maybe anthracite stripes?!? Hmmm [emoji848]

Cheers @mossyv6. I’ll keep an eye out for one. To be honest, I’ll probably just leave it. The wing is only obvious in certain lighting so not a massive problem.
And you’re right. The car is seriously nice. It’s just little things that caught my attention.

To be honest @Louis I think I’ll buy a DA and have a go myself. I’m defo not paying that kind of money. I’d rather go on holiday!
He has since recommended a couple other Bodyshops in the area so I may go and have a chat to those guys. Can’t hurt to get quotes.

Sort of an update:
Been to a highly recommended and local detailer today to find out about correcting the paint where the stripes were, he noticed that the N/S/F wing is a lighter shade than the rest of the car and has some orange peel effect as a result. Which now that he has pointed it out...
Anyone recommend a detailer that could check out where the stripes used to be on the RB? The paint is darker where the stripes used to be, only catch it in certain light, but it bugs the hell out of me!
Or a CS member that is handy with a machine polisher?
Cheers

Another update...
Decided to tackle the stereo and climate control panel today.
I took the crappy looking cc panel that I bought off eBay apart and removed the screen, no pics of this sorry.
Took the cc panel out the car and swapped screens over. Nice simple job.
Next was the stereo and...
As a side note. Whoever fitted the wheels last was taking the piss with how tight they put the nuts on!!!
I had the get the big breaker bar out and stand on it to get them off!
All torqued up properly now though.

Yep, they were really really minging. That ring of scum took a while to shift. I couldn’t get all of it off but I got most of it shifted. That’s what took most of the time.

Update...
Decided that I would take the wheels off the car seeing as the weather decided to behave itself.
They were pretty grubby, as where the arches.
All four wheels were pretty much the same condition.
The wheels also had a weird ring of something that looked like rust that had bonded...
Update:
Bad news and good news!
Bad news is I’ve just received a letter from North Yorkshire Police, I’ve been done for speeding [emoji35]
Good news: I was below the speed for a summons. So points and a fine coming my way I think. Could’ve been worse, and I’m not the type of person to blame...
So. Great t up nice and early to spend the day detailing the car. Only to find it’s raining [emoji35] it’s supposed to be a nice day today so that’s just typical really!
Popped to the post office to pick up some parcels. A climate control panel with crappy buttons, I’ll take it apart and...
Just read this whole thread. What a cracking job of resurrecting the Cup. Top work.
If you decide to sell/part the cup, let me know, I’d be interested in the Willy wheels.
