Update time....
got some OMP harness pads as the 3inch belts do dig in to the neck a bit if you're only wearing a t-shirt. No pics though.
Now, i went and bought another quafie look-a-like gear knob in white this time (current one is black):
However when it came through it had all this...
Thanks mate. I love it too but i need to use it more. Dont want to rack the miles up though.
Preparing the wallet for a hammering friday now. Satchshift / Atspeed racing flywheel / Atspeed engine pulleys / maybe another exhaust system and the other half birthday :(
New Janspeed manifold:
I'm sanding and welding the rocker cover at the moment. Going to weld a piece on to accept nice braided hose fittings soo to go to a new catch tank.
Few fcs pics:
Thanks to Chip for that image
Thanks to m11ler for that image
Plans are to get the car a bit more track ready for next year. At trax ill be on the sax-p stand all day with the car looking the same but expect some big changes after that.
Any way, thanks to everyone who i...
Dont know if this is possible on clio's but a few 106/saxos are toying with the idea of running a switch to the PAS pump. On for normal driving, then switch it off on track. Not sure on the amount of work involved though.
Many years ago when i first met Wayne he binned a Gold vtr quite badly and it definatly helped him. If that makes sense. He treats this car with respect and is running it at its lowest setting for a while till he gets used to everything. Colin from Atspeed (has a 500bhp 106) is taking him on...
Glad you're keeping it mate, good idea to sorn it in my eyes. Ill miss the sight of it at meets but it'll be good to have a break from it then go back to it with guns blazing and go mental with some bodies ;)
Thats why he bought my old suspension! Only the best. I understand alot of people hate these cars but im one of the people that love them, yes for what ive spent on mine i could of bought a modified a clio but i like the saxo. As does Wayne.
The rest of the car looks like this:
BE...
Haha, only a matter of time for that video to appear here. Known Wayne a while, good lad and has spent a small fortune on that car. It did blow a fuel injector out on the way home though but is all fixed now. Cant speak highly enough of Atspeed racing. Great attention to detail and very...
Nah, i can physically bolt it in and fit parts but with regards to wiring its going to be a completely bespoke loom. And i dont want to fit everything and do away with some bits they need. Besides the labour of fitting it will probably be the least expensive compared to mapping and making the...
Because im not the one doing the conversion. Atspeed will be doing it all and a custom wiring loom. Untill i know where everything is going i dont want to start filling holes etc because they will only have to change it to move stuff around in the bay. I have no issue taking the engine and...
Thanks mate, feels good to think people like it aswell as me. I just have high standards in what i do and hope it shows through with the car.
Thanks, glad people take the time to read a whole read like this, Ive tried to document it as best i could. Wish i could change the thread title now as...
Only after i posted did i realise ive got you on facebook. I haven't changed the MC on the saxo yet but after fcs and trax this year im stripping it to a shell and starting again so that's an option then.
