The car started to feel odd and the battery warning light came on the dash. Assuming it was the French protesting as usual I carried on. Now some smoke appears behind me followed briefly by an engine light.

I've only driven Canvey in recent years in a transit and it was a work vehicle so I didnt give a s**t lol
The main roads round here aint too bad but the normal residential roads are a joke. The HGV's have made gouge marks with their weight and the route I take to my sons nursery is basically...
Sounds like Southend are being tight asses which is unusual. Shell should charge a flat rate countrywide oh and the government should charge 5% not 50 odd. Oh and I should own a Ferrari. So basically none of thats going to happen.
Just paid £1.08 for normal 95 shell. Feeling ripped off :D
Its weird how my brain works. Some days I'll decide to get the higher octane fuel knowing it will help the engine and mpg and other days my brain just wants to pay the least amount possible even if I know long term im losing out.
Damn...think it was around 1.06 last time I filled round here and Southend tends to always have cheap prices im guessing because of its proximity to London and transport links etc
When I passed my test im sure it was around 87p a litre then quite rapidly within two months or so hit nearly £1.40. Then its been up and down by ten pence here and there.....so the current prices are amazing! I may actually go 100 miles with a tenner again
Ah. Fair enough if your going the whole hog then you may as well rip it all out. I look forward to the day the clio dies on me so I can put it on the drive and start tearing it to pieces :D
From experience I wouldnt bother with the small little things like brackets. One day you might want the car to go back to standard to make more money from it for a sale. I'd concentrate on the big heavy bits like the battery and that. My general rule is unless its really really not needed then...
Not sure. Just coming from a saxo and 106's there seems to be a lot of the stuff. That yellowey foam stuff is only behind the dash on a 106 for example. I can imagine a fully stripped 172 flys!
My favourite mod so far has to be the ktec exhaust. Sounds awesome! Im 31 (holy s**t that just sank in) and its not too loud or chavvy sounding and it goes with my whole "when something fails, buy a better version" ethos.
Cheers bud. Yeah, im not trying to be unique or set new trends or anything. I just like things to be my way so I enjoy reading through other people's threads to get ideas on how they have improved their cars so I can take inspiration and get mine so its more to my liking. The dogbone mount, cup...
