i took some 18 inch old style comps to them that were a horrible grey colour and a bit battered and when i collected them the finish was better than the brand new set of comps i had from the factory. one wheel when stripped had filler and jb weld to hide a crack and they welded it with no extra...
encase its not mentioned above as i couldnt see but their are 3 bolts on the front of the ps pump (pully side) and their is also one on the on the back of the pump to remove before it will pull out..
i got a second hand one on here for 20 quid i think. was for my mates 182 as it spat its guts out outside my house and had just had cambelt and aux kit fitted by a garage. i think as the pump had been whyning for a while it had extra strain put on it from the new belt and tensioner.
i put the...
id at least change the belt if not wanting to do the tensioners. i think the belt is only about 15 quid.. its going to be off anyway and even if just going by the horror stories of the aux belt taking the rest of it out id change it..
i think new ones require the flange from the old pump being pulled off then pressing onto the new one . ive read that this has caused problems for people when not perfectly aligned and caused the belt to fall off..
as said tho for the sake of 50 quid id change the whole aux kit as its going to...
i did at one point think i was going to need to remove the aircon pump but once the aux tensioner is off the ps pump came out easily.. if you have the time just take off all you can to make it easier for yourself..
its an easy job really similar to changing the aux belt i removed the alternator as well.. used a s/h pump from the parts section on here . needed to be done quick as my mates 182 pump gave way outside my house. mite take a few hours if you not worked on one before.. remove all you can for...
hold it still with some long nose mole grips and drill the head off.. you wont need to bolt it back on their held on real well without them anyway.. the ones ive had off are anyway..
nice saff mate.. my old 2wd is up in essex somewhere.. it had a famous couple of weeks staring on youtube with its new owner up their doing big burnouts and donoughts in the small streets then got removed.. mine had similar mods to yours but was only any fun for me on big straight roads.. ive...
ive got similar to those on the front of my 182 in 16mm and extended wheel bolts and have no problems at all.. did a trackday on the weekend too and all fine...
i restored the underside of my old cossie a few years ago and although it looked nice i didnt use it in the rain as hated having the underside all dirty.. well that and 500hp rwd it was lethal in the wet..
ive cleaned all the underside of the clio though but its in far better condition than any...
you dont have to take the seats out to take the bar off from under them they come off real easy.. if you use the original bar though the plastic handle hits the bottom of the seat so i chopped an inch of the metal out on the upright part and welded it back on so it fits as it should..
they look real nice ive just done the same to mine. .. how do you find the bars for sliding the seats forward.. ive not used them on mine as they didnt fit too well..
Hello mate I don't think I'll be selling any time too soon I'm afraid. I've had dale interested in having it back too.
Mill put some new pics up next week of it with my new bits fitted.
hi their.. i have that little clio mate... still in awesome condition a credit to its previous owners.. ive had it over a year now.. be nice to hear any history on it if you dont mind sending me a pm..
they come up on ebay quite often and can get them for good prices.. although id have much rather have swapped my originals in the offer above as the subframes cost just over 300 quid on their own..
the resistors ive just used are 3.3 ohm and have worked fine.. ive just used heat shrink over the plug with the resistor plugged in and tucked it back under the carpet..
yea they are expensive but i love the look of them.. they are like new the car had only done 11k.. cant stop thinking about a supercharger conversion for it now tho..
yes mate the cars looking a rite state though ive got seats out all stripped to see what i need to swap and wheels off ready for balancing after that massive pot hole..
looks like more money on sub frames now though..
looking good mate.. hoping to get some bits done to mine over the weekend.. was hoping to be fitting new seats but going to have to buy subframes now..
Hello.
Has anyone fitted these seats into their 182 using the megane subframes onto the Clio runners. I've only had a a quick look and the megane frames look like they will make the seat quite high. Also a couple inch difference in width for the floor mounts . I'm sure I've seen...
No mate not really looked Ill probably whip the wheels off over the weekend and have a look if I manage to get my other little toys fitted first.
You got your new bumper on yet.
Mines a blue 182 on turinis but don't use it much really so weren't mine as I'm up in London at work this week. Hopefully bringing a very nice present home for my Clio too.
