I've never had someone say anything productive other than "they stop you quicker"
That's why I asked, suppose it makes sense that they are more progressive.
Never really thought about the weight savings
on another note about brakes
what is the point in the wilwoods?
you have a bigger caliper pushing a pad with smaller contact area so therefore more pressure applied
however if it is the same size disc will they actually stop you any quicker?
the way ive been thinking about it is that if you...
They are not up for sale yet. But will be in the bear future. They are still in the car etc. They will be getting relied perhaps next month. I'll put then in the for sale section then.
This is also the first thread I've mentioned it in ✊
5 door a3 looks better than a 3 door
As is the old shape Astra
You probably won't agree with that but one day you'll see a nice 5 door. Slightly lowered and some spacers on and you'll just say "aaaahhhhh that's what he was on about"
looks good, i dunno what it is about subarus
i'd love one but i just don't think i could bring myself to buy one!
looks a good example and you've done the right thing buying from a reputable dealer!
all the best with it :)
i'm sure blair mccaff on here cut the roof off of a 182 to put it on his 1.2! LOL
ended up breaking the car in the end
It's a lot of money to spend just to fix a leaking roof! on a 1.2
if replacing the seals doesnt work then siliconing up the sunroof on an old 1.2 will not put of a new buyer...
lovely looking motor, a guy at work has the 350 version of this i think?? (could be wrong)
But it still looks nice and is a very nice cruising machine!
can see me going merc in a few years, house before car though lol
The corner lights in the golf are terrific!
The actual xenon projectors move and if u don't like it you can just turn it off through your HUD, lol
It's handy for travelling abroad as well. Change a setting and it adjusts the lights rather than putting beam deflectors on!
Yeah the suck quite a bit. I mostly do short journeys but even on a 100 mile run it's not great. I depends how you drive them I suppose.
If you drive like an absolute granny you should see over 30
I don't see the point in owning this to drive like a granny lol
The 4wd drag doesn't help.
Aye...
Yeah I've got an R,
It is great but I'm just paying to much each month for it and any justify it anymore!
Quattro is the most terrific invention ever!!
Again be prepared to spend a lot on petrol!
I'm sorta hanging about 23-26 to the gallon. Best I've seen is 29 LOL
yeah its crazy how quickly it hits 10mph hahaha
the difference the rear diff makes in bot space is outrageous. comparing it to a GTI the boot is tiny. still plenty big for what i need lol
really like this i must say!
in some respects i think if i'd went for a mk5 R32 i'd maybe be keeping...
Aye my pedal seems to be pretty good.
I don't know though I can't recall having any negative thoughts about how on/off it was when I first got it so I can't even say that I'm maybe just used to it lol.
looks pretty nice. more pictures required though
RDH, thats sounds a bit strange with regards to your brakes. i appreciate I'm a newer car etc but my brakes feel great!
also ask Paprika about his fuel consumption, it'll make you feel a bit better
if you want to feel a lot better. come and chat...
my mk2 was 22 years old and the underneath of the car was solid!
unfortunately the chassis legs had holes in it and the cuttle panel had a couple of small holes appearing.
if i could go back then i'd have just saved up and fixed it haha
live and learn i suppose
First car love:
mk2 golf, 1.3, 4 gears, something broke every week
taught me everything pretty much every thing i needed to know about cars, great learning experience
genuinely was the best handling car i've owned. goosebumps thinking about it
of course the golf just now is fantastic, will...
don't know if someone has mentioned it but make sure the reservoir cap is off as well.
iirc leaving the cap on can cause a build up of pressure in the system that stops the piston going fully home
I picked some up during the year at a car show,
for the money you seem to get a pretty generous amount and it really is great stuff!
slightly scented to be a bit easier on the nose which is always a bonus
worked wonders on the clio wheels after some damage from carbon Lorraine's
anyone else...
using AD08s and i can't fault them
they are just so grippy and seem to be lasting good!
i noticed a big difference with wet grip, putting the foot flat to the floor in first (driving along with the wheels straight) and it refused to spin!
i was very impressed
also used them at the ring this year!
