Hit up Curborough last weekend with a few mates and @LeeRS and his other half... Didn't get any pictures while I was there but had a good day. Undecided whether to stick a turbo on it...
People jump on the bandwagon... Basically they've read a review of someone saying it wasn't super-fast, so it must be slow then!
I've said a million times but unless you're a fantastic driver and you have access to a racetrack, you really don't need 'fast'.
Went for a Sunday blast today and forgot just how much fun it is to drive, especially now I have a diesel Leon!
This picture is a couple of weeks old now but I love my little hairdresser car!
Videos like this, as shocking as they are shouldn't put you off going to the 'Ring. If you want to go then please do as the place will not disappoint you!
There are plenty of videos on YouTube of cars flipping over hedges and roundabouts and careering over barriers into oncoming traffic, yet...
I'm not sure, but to put it into perspective... We went this year and my mates turbo blew and it pissed oil out for a couple of hundred yards, and they recovered the car and cleared up the mess. No damage to car or circuit. = £2000
If you're scared of crashing try an easier track to get to grips with like Bedford Autodrome... Plenty of room to skid or spin without hitting anything.
Lee, you're speaking so much sense... Don't get sucked in by thinking you need this or that for trackdays. Decent brakes and tyres and some tuition and you'll be one of the quickest Clio's on track that day, and you'll be grinning from ear to ear :)
