    Getting sharper images

Assume he means 10 second shutter on a tripod. Agreed that using something like an f8 aperture should sort it, but also... Are you using a cable or remote shutter, or pressing the button on the body of the camera?

Smashed Trophy @ Castle Combe (no 299)

That's the silver one isn't it. Edit, beaten to it.

    My Silky Ignis Sport

...I saw that one too. Best bit about the Ignis is after all the faffing about I've done with all of mine I can honestly say they're pretty much best left alone. Yes, it'll corner better on coilovers but you'll be in a wheelchair with no spine within 12 months!

Aww! (That suspension was harder than a polar bears nipples!) Amazing cars though! So what's next?

Mini Cooper S Works GP No1021

Which are the ones to avoid, with the same temperamental engines as the Peugeot Gti? I understand that they're the middle-aged ones, but how can you tell? Looking at Clubman's on eBay as I could get my bike in easier.

Mini Cooper S Works GP No1021

Lovely car that is, Dan! Maybe I need to seriously consider a Mini and stop looking at sub-£1500 sh*tters. I've got £20k to play with ffs! I should at least take a closer look at Dave's as it sounds ideal.

Smashed Trophy @ Castle Combe (no 299)

There's definitely something about Combe... I did the Forge Action Day a couple of years ago and the briefing was a casual affair where they basically asked you nicely not to crash. I'd never seen so many tracksuits in one place. Nobody had listened to the briefing and within a lap or so someone...

Smashed Trophy @ Castle Combe (no 299)

That was a weird crash... Looks like a rear calliper locked or something!?

    Goodwood in my ST

Lotus Cortina's are lapping around the 1:30 mark, and classic Mini's around 1:36... Bloody impressive if you ask me!

    Holyrood Concours September 2015

Some fantastically expensive motors there! I see the Jag prototype from Harry's Garage is there too... I also noticed the denim shirts and golf caps were in full effect!

I'm good mates with Titch and have driven the Cat & Fiddle with him before, so I'm sure he'll be up for meeting up again :)

Don't those average speed cameras spoil your fun, or don't they work in the dark? You'll have to pm me next time you head over there so I can see it in the flesh :)

    MX5 Number 4

Love it... One of my favourite cars on the forum. That's the Cat & Fiddle run that you're on isn't it?

That's too far south for most of us... Donington or Oulton are probably the most central venues.
  26. Mr Burns

Hi. Still here... just back from the Ring. UR200 content.

Still looks great, fellow short person! Makes me miss my old 197!

That does surprise me... Those Megane race cars don't hang about then! It was Da Costa, yes.
  28. Mr Burns

    World series by Renault

No, they were using a smaller circuit as the cars were lapping pretty frequently. I'd imagine Donington or Oulton would be much better though as the entertainment wouldn't look so spread-out.

    World series by Renault

The fact that it was quiet made it more enjoyable IMO. No crowds and no queues meant that you could pretty much see or do what you wanted at any time. My only criticism was there wasn't enough to entertain all day and a smaller venue would've suited it better.
