    would you use this oil

The 10w-50 from elf will be fine, an average quality oil. If at a good price buy it but the best quality options are the ester based oils of Silkolene and Motul. Like all things, you get what you pay for... if your lucky. Cheers Guy.

Nanolub Solid Lubricant - A Miracle?

We are asked all the time about the use of magic addatives / miracle cures. This one is certainly no exception in its claims. Having read about it, I asked Silkolene was this a miracle addative and were the claims possible or more importantly technically possible? If you're...

    Comma oil - good enough?

The term synthetic is one big grey area when it comes to oil as many labled as such are in fact hydrocracked mineral oils.... hense the guy with the comma oil and impreza's, its not a true synthetic. Yep, 5w-40 or 0w-40 full synthetic is the best choice. The best of these are the ester based synthetics of Motul and Silkolene, followed by the pao synthetics like Amsoil, Mobil, Castrol Edge and Fuchs. Cheers Guy.

    Shell Helix Ultra any good?

Most flushes are kerosene or paraffin mixes and can over clean the engine if you like, to the point where it can strip out deposits made by the bedding in process, plus you will never get it all out so whats left will start to work on breaking down the new oil once it goes in. A good quality...

    Shell Helix Ultra any good?

Erm... we have streets, we have cars and often they are in stock form. Sounds like English to me. We also have race tracks, and modded cars... some only used on track. So I guess there may be a small difference between the two and their requirments.
