We used to have roll bars made at my old work and it was just 1" solid bar bent and powder coated.
Never had any problems!
You probably could use a bit of old railing! And a couple of oversized exhaust clamps!
I was going to fabricate myself a rear anti roll bar.
They're probably as easy as each other to make, providing I can get the right steel for a solid one.
I prefer the look of a pms and it'll be lighter but has anyone had both to compare? I don't like the clamps either so will be doing...
Great starting point, i've always liked the inferno's.
Check out fatty's induction kit. Do a search on here, it'll save you a few quid on the k tec one.
Any engineering place should be able to make them but you'd need to supply disc, hub, wheel etc so they can make it all fit!
What calipers etc are you using?
Can't you contact the person you got them from? How far out are they?
We used to send stuff off to Hi spec all the time and when it came...
Was having issues with the wife's ph1 a littlewhile back where it wouldn't start when it felt like it! Turned out to be the black relays at the back of the fuse box. Cleaned the terminals and replaced the relays for piece of mind. Been 100% since!
Most cars can be saved! Usually just comes down to cost against value or sentiment!
This E type i'm doing was a lot worse!!
Only started this last may.
This phase 2 needing a little tlc in Ireland.

Great project, love the mk1's
Wish I could get round to doing something with my phase 1. Not touched it in a 18 months!
I know where to come if I want a mk1!
I'd love this but get it stickered up as it was originally! I remember being an apprentice and we had a brand new ph2 mk1 16v in at the time, in the metallic red.

Hi Jack,
A bit off topic but is the one plus three any good?
My son's thinking of getting one and I know you're into all that. I remember you had the one plus one.
@Jack Parke
Amazing work!
Always wanted to do something like this myself with a mk1 escort and a zakspeed kit.
I never considered using box section for the main platform though! I guess it makes it easier to mount it from.
Did an Aston V8 a quite a while back! My Bosses brother at the time ended up in the...
@rickyquicky, it's a hard one, I'd personally never do repair like that but that's just my standards. Everything else looks good but std panel replacement. Maybe just speak to him and see? It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. It's just the cost of the transporting it back and forth?
The other you could possibly to is pour a bottle of Hammerite rust eater into the sills first from the rear if you have the cards out? Jack up the rear of the car so it'll all run forward??
@rickyquicky check out the dinitrol range they have some with rust inhibitors etc you can get a whole kit from them. To neutralise and protect!
Sounds like he doesn't want to do it to be honest. I used to charge £35 an hour and started charging £40 but I think £800's not far off! I would been...
If possible I would cut the sill off just below the raised swage about 1/4" down as the swage would keep the strength in the sill for less distortion. But it'll need to be but welded in which will take a good day or so to weld in very slowly tacking it 4-5" apart along the sill and letting it...
