Well Sunday finally saw my first track day! What a great day, really enjoyed it. Was the first time id ever pushed a car that much, very impressed with how well the car went, and best of all no issues  Enjoyed the track also, was a bit greasy in the morning but once dry i gained a lot...
I agree, thought of removing mine a while ago but it's not worth the hassle. For all the weight it is, makes life easier for de misting the window etc.
Glad i booked now, was going to chance it on the day as well thinking it wouldn't be full.
Looking forward to it though, just some pms mounts to fit and a few niggles to sort before hand this weekend  Just missed a brian james trailer on gumtree today too gutted!
Cheers mate, you'll end up spending a small fortune before you know it!
Haha cheers mate!
I was sent up last week around Banff and then Turriff for a few days. Work on wind turbines, there's plenty of them up there anyway!
Yeah very easy! With the door cards off you just remove the mechanism for the old window couple of bolts, hardest bit was getting the plastic part out the glass (there is probably an easy way to do this, I ended up smashing one window by accident). Glass just then slides out then slide the...
I've actually still do fix them in mate. There holding there self up just now, I think I'm just going to stick a bolt through the bottom to keep them up.
Well I've been sorting a few ends out this weekend to prepare for this track day.
First was getting the cage in and pads welded. Some piece of kit the safety devices cage, very impressed!
Then had a bit of a boredom streak this week staying up Aberdeenshrie with work in the arse end of no...
I'd put some nimbus heat shield or similar down the back of the engine now you've removed the old stuff. Brake lines run along the back across from the manifold.
Looks brilliant Craig, to clean for a track car!
Seen the video of you and Fraser on Instagram fighting it out some ballsy corners haha! I'm going to book the 25th, few bits to do before then but looking forward to it!
I had this issue when I killed my battery for 2 weeks. Can't remember the reason the auto spark gave but it was something to do with this and the Ecu (or along those lines).
He only took £20 as I think was an easy fix for them.
That sounds like a plan to work towards Craig. Hopefully have the cage in before then also.
Cheers mate! Yeah definately glad I went down the cheap engine route first!
