I used a bulkhead fitting behind the drivers seat and it was the biggest pain in the arse to fit. Think I drilled 3 holes before I got t right as I didn’t wanna drop the tank. Being able to get a socket in the fitting through the fuel pump hole was a nightmare.
I’ve also been thinking about...
Email Mitch at proline today asking for a tracking number and got no reply. Really hope they come tomorrow with no issue.
Can’t believe I’ve had to wait so long considering @Nafoff has had really good service from him from what I can see from reading his thread.
Argh your joking. I was having doubts as he told me the lines were made last week and waiting on the bias valve to land. Then it was meant to be with me Friday and now it’s going to be today/tomorrow. I was hoping it was just me ?
Knew I should of just made my own.
Finially got the rear axle off yesterday.
Painted the rear calipers
Cleaned the brake reservoir up as I’m still waiting for my proline kit!
Took delivery of the PMS rear stub axle kit too. Looks a decent kit.
Painted the Volvo alternator mount
Can you not get your hands on a 110a alternator to try? That’s what the racers used looking at the parts catalog on Rsport.
110a has different mounting points so should fit that mount.
Anyone got any tips for removing the rear axle on 172s?
Mainly the 3 bolts to the chassis.
I haven’t got access to a welder so can’t tac them in place to stop them from spinning.
On the drivers side One has come off fine and the other 2 nuts have come loose and then the captive part has...
Cheers ?? Hopefully it’ll all go smoothly and quickly as it’s been off the road since March again ?
Yeah weld will defo help!
I’ve ordered the PMS stub axle kit so will let you know defo. Also ordered shims aswell
Rear beam has been stripped of all suspension and brakes. Brake lines removed completely front to rear awaiting a Proline kit from Mitch @Pro-Line Motorsport.
Typically the bolts that hold the rear beam on on the driver side are just spinning ??
May look at the PMS rear brake kit and...
Was thinking this with them running EHPAS system.
Looking at it, it seems a simple fix just custom mount maybe. Unless Rsport can supply you the cup racer top mount and hope it will work
Mine might be the Volvo part tbf looking at yours.
I’d get a nice aluminium spacer made to space the top alternator mounting out a bit.
Unless you have the wrong alternator for that mount maybe? You using a cup one or air con one? I know the mounting point on the is different.
I’ve just got a similar setup but mine has an extra part with it. I haven’t tried fitted mine yet. Maybe get time over the weekend but this is what I’ve got.
So engine is nearly done. Just needs the cam cover sealing, timing up, flywheel, clutch and gearbox on and it can be swung back in once I’ve ran some new front brake lines.
Next I need a cage so I’ve tidied me garage and jacked the car up high so I can start the prep for this.
I want seat...
This is true.
Even at work we have warning notes that arms and rear shocks part numbers are for all Clios bar sports and don’t not sell so we don’t have any issues
