please dont cut your springs lol,
the raceland coilovers are good pieces of kit for the non-sports lows!!
but as said i think k-tec have once again bought up the entire stock so they can stamp their name on them and sky rocket the price! :(
how do you get to the captive nut on the otherside of the middle bolt (furthest away in the picture??)
when trying to take my hanger off, two the end two snapped and the middle one just spins!! :(
im going to custom fit a completely different hanger seeing as the renault ones are pretty poor...
surely the inner sleeve should be the length of the gap in the subframe,
and very srong, and the same length as the bush, so its quite baffling why the bush is allowing for such deformation as its implying the 10mm layer of material between the inner and outer sleeve is allowing for a lot amount...
i believe it is simply pushed into the cylinder so i dont think changing it will be much of an issue, but it may be worth addressing why this has happened as i dont think its a very common occurance, and definatley not normal!! lol
im assuming when you took the pics that the centre sleeve had already been removed?? (just checking)
thats an awesome video btw, but with the centre sleeve it place, its showing the entire bush deforming under the lateral force!
So you jumped from the supplied sleeve not welded in to the apparantly discontinued flared sleeves that are imo too short.
have you not tired to supplied sleeves welded in?? which is the the recomended way to fit them by powerflex??!
you cen see from this pic, how short your sleeves are...
isnt the taped sleeve the one you said powerflex took off their line because it caused problems? why are you using it then???
and if using the correct sleeve then it obviously can go out further, because thats how everyone else has mounted theirs!! (and theyre not having these problems)
tbh, i...
also it would really help if you could take some pictures of the wishbones NOT on the car. if the inner sleve is in place, even if the outer sleeves were a bit too short (which is stand by the fact that they are) there still shouldnt be that much movement to the point of the outer sleeve hitting...
youre saying that the wishbone is being allowed to move so far that the very large and obvious bend in this sleeve was caused by the wishbone?!
that is about 10mm of lateral movement!! something is seriously wrong, if the polyeurethane is there and cased both sides witha metal sleeve inside and...
the welding is also terrible!! very low contact with the wishbone and its just blob of weld!!
and you also havnt explained why the sleeves are bent?!
theyre terribly fitted so everythings just going to come back to that issue first!! lol
get some new wishbones and use the normal sleeves and...
buy a 172!! not worth the hastle of converting it!!
youll spend more than the cost of a 172
and be left with a car thats worthless!!
and it still wont have the looks/equiptment of a 172.
all the interior will be a straight swap from your current clio.
also will be a bit of a pig to insure!!
Ill echo what everyone else has said, sleeves are not far enough out. The amount of exposed bush left out with allow for a certain amount of deformation due to the material. More rubber / less metal, more movement. More movement means chewed up bushes!!
also (and im surpised nobody else has...
Sorry to steer this off topic slightly.
does the cup have a slightly different blower unit??
as im building my track car and want to keep a heater, but idealy id like to cut down on the contents of the scuttle without loosing the blower!!
but it looks like the blower is built into the recirc...
Finally coughed up for membership again and can post on here!! :D
Who: Alex
Where: Leigh-on-Sea, but spend most of my time in sussex
What: Half built track 172!
may not get to meet anyone of those i havnt already met as im moving down to brighton for good in september! :(
great digging skills if this is actually the car, proof that you cant run from the internet!!
also a bit odd that theyve listed the car as a 2010 car when i dont even think the 197s were made that year, clearly not that clued up on renaults.
has anyone thought of contacting the seller of the...
Re: yokohama parada??? any gd
try and get some rain sport 2's, great tyre!
i ran pradas on my mk1 and i found them to very good in the dry!!
never really pushed it in the wet so i couldnt comment, but for the price theyre a good tyre!!
miles better than the proxies imo
any rear axle will fit,
But the anti roll bar in the non-sport rear beams is a lot thiner and will therefore compromise the handling!!
ph1 172, ph2 172, cup will all have the same rear beam iirc, (23mm sway bar)
non-sports have something like a 17mm sway bar,
and the bars are welded in and...
definatley not vibe,
what are the actual models of sub, that makes a big difference as alpines range varies from very good to absolute b0ll0x!! lol
what amp are you using to run the sub and what is the power output figures,
what size box are you installing it all in?
you havnt been very...
i could sell you a new airbag ECU for £20 posted ;)
go to a strap yard for the seat and hope to find one thats not gone off.
all the safety equiptment is not designed to be actived more than once so personally id pick up new pretensioners, seatbelts if you want to retain the safety features of...
youre looking at an afternoons work to change all that stuff over TOPS, and the only money you'd have to fork out is for the tints.
im not sure what you mean by what you said about the third option, but if its a good respray guarentee youll spend more than the car will be worth when it rolls...
Sell it and buy another one!! dont pour money into a 1.2, youll never see a penny of it again!!
im not sure how the hell you justify that itll put you £1200 out of pocket to change before buying standard parts?!
the only mods i can see on it are those wheels, which tbh, i wouldnt take over if i...
haha cheers dude, ye i decieded that this one was going to be a bit tidier!!
ive just ordered a new top dash from a poverty spec clio so the dash is going to be completely finished.
however im moved back to university now so no more work is going to be happening until the summer months!! :(
as long as its not a show cage id defs take it for that price!!
you can always sell it on if you change your mind!!
personally i love cages, they make a car look so purposeful!
if you're using it as a harness bar, please make sure its a suitable cage and mounted correctly!!
it will hike your...
