Did my stint with americana when my brother in law imported a 63 split screen vette , i then bought a 72
My mate owned the first Henessy modded Viper in the uk which is the actual car below and if i am honest looked ugly as sin
I love ford pickups on lift kits but i grew up with the fall guy...
If you want a C10 i will see if i can find the stunning 50's chevy stepside rutlege wood dropped onto a C10 , there are a ton of kits to do it
While i look for that have a look at Rutledge's 50's chevy breadvan with a huge v8 thrown in
Pickup based on a c10 he built for his wife...
similar to using a long first however not quite the same .
what you really need to do is play with a ratio calculator and look at power and max revs and sit down and work it all out .
the trouble with a clio is your most likely restricted in what ratios are available .
if you build a car right , you would up the final drive to lower top speed and therefore make acceleration quicker , however you nearly always (or i have on track cars) have a long first gear fitted , as first on track most of the time is never ever used.
Its all about sidewall stiffnes as well as overall grip
But without being to harsh a great setup would have understeered badly the way it was being pedalled
There is so much to understand when it comes to fast/track driving
Understanding of weight transfer and the understanding of the physics of what where and why are essential to understand
They are also different between fwd and rwd but most will benefit
I used driver coaches through all my...
Can i try and say this in the nicest way and please dont take offence but my best advice would be book a track day on a decent circuit, and have as many sessions with an instructor as you can.
If you can afford a whole day with one then 90% of the issues you are suffering can be ironed out by...
Sticking on a set of 888's and the stiffer sidewalls will help hugely
But your problem will still be a soft setup
As a fast road setup what you have is good but for track work it really wont be great
several things .
Cooksports are too soft for track work .
road tyres are too soft for track work
combined to being on a tight track as teeside is a kart track and you being (with all due respect and your own admission) a newbie , it has understeer written all over it .
the chances are you...
To be honest Euge the noise cancelling bose in ears take what you have to another level now you have tried the sports
I hate bose as a brand but admit those and my soundlink mini speaker are brilliant , however i paid $ price not UK
I crested Eau Rouge at just over 110mph and was the second car in these pics , there was coolant on the track and as i crested (as its blind) i reacted to the small amount of smoke i noticed .............
Alas the honda behind me did not spot the marshall flagging ................... Honda...
just reading a thread from people i know and have competed with , they tried them on a car at anglesea in warm dry temps ............... they had about the same grip as the T1r road tyres they had and were 4 seconds a lap slower than the avons they had that were showing signs of canvas in places...
Hummm
Find a decent supply , of a known slick in 15" sizing first.
Look for blueing and graining on the surfaces as thats not great
Look at the depth holes to see they have not had the edges run due to lots of camber.
Get a shore gauge to match up sets by hardness as the team will maybe not...
Anyone flat flooring a car will
If your just doing geo most wont , known Rich at Blink for years before he started Blink or even working on cars.
He will do a spot on job if you take it to Blink
Though if you asked 100 petrolheads 95 would argue the hind legs off a donkey its not human input until shown
Hence folklaw about 205 head trimming abilities , widow making 911's and elises that would kill you if you as much as thought about lifting mid corner !
Yep utah is huge but only has 3million people in
Coverage cab be flakey
AT&T is what my yank friends have always recommended as no point saving a few bucks if it does not work
And yet none of you have pointed out (unless i have missed a post) that quite literally there are NO Mclaren P1's in his video .........
they may have one tucked in the showroom but all i can see are MP 12C's in the various derivatives ??
And right there is where what you have said leads me to think you dont understand......
Toe in would promote understeer and reduce straight line speed.(marginally)
If you had 2 drivers who have differing styles i would set it up with near neutral toe .
The other question is you say you want...
and that 14 mins of toe out will be total ... which is 7 per side !! (or is it !! )
Things really need to be clearly stated , as misinterpretations can make huge differences.
There seems to either be some confusion in what they are telling you , or confusion in what you are understanding .
If you have struggled in the past getting Geo setup i am going to guess that your understanding is limited .
It may be a good idea to understand a few answers to some basic geo...
Will purely be down to the master cylinder not being matched to the bore volume of the caliper
Larger volume longer pedal unless matched to the correct master cylinder . generally nothing to do with air in the system or bleeding
From my mates shop maybe these. ?

You can on the newer ones i think unplug the wire from the bud
You cant on the older 310 i have
If you can you could swap which wire was pluged to each bud thus having the left and right correctly
However to be sure i would need 315s in my hand
