Soooooo, when I updated the drivers, seems it updated the onboard intel graphics card, and the PC kept using that, despite the monitors being plugged into the new one.
Checked the new Asus card and that was last updated 2015, LOL. So updated that, and disabled the intel one.
Fingers crossed...
Going to bump this thread again and then read back through it to try to get my head around it, but if anyone wants to chip in with advice, it's more than welcome. I'm looking for a set up for home. Thinking 3 camera, 1 front, one side, one rear, along with a recording device. I assume the best...
I'm in 2 minds whether to get Snappy or Royal to do mine. I've bought a spare GTi wheel for my golf to send off.
I want it a bit thicker though, but don't want to add to the external diameter of it, and wondered if they could be thickened on the inside only?
Like I say, it's been doing this for years now, before I upgraded windows 10, before I put the SSD in, and before I upgraded the graphics csrd. So I can't see how it's software related.
I have no idea what I am looking at in reliability history, other than it states hardware failure. Helpful.
I left it running again this morning, and it crashed again after an hour
Did you read above? I was working and it crashed, so plugged my work tower in. I haven't had time/inclination to swap everything back and try to look at the crash register yet.
I won't be beaten 😂😂
Saying that I have had my spare tower from work this afternoon and it was lovely and quiet, unlike mine which sounds like a fuckin 747 taking off 😂😂😂
Oh my god. Fuckin f**k this piece of s**t PC. Triggers broom bunch of b****cks. Just frozen again doing the clicky clicky noise through the speakers. The temps for the processor had been stable at 42deg.
I honestly don't know what else it could be and I'm getting frustrated with it now.
Seems I had forgotten that I unplugged the power cables for the CPU 😂 All back together now and working. Seems to be holding temps better on the processor too, so fingers crossed that's the glitch fixed, otherwise I'm likely to hoy it out of the window on the M62 and let an Amazon lorry smash it...
Soooooo, I took the heatsink off, cleaned off old paste as it was patchy as f**k. Put fresh paste on, put it all back together, and now it just trips out when I try to turn it on. The fans spin and within a second it just cuts out. Great.
So, @Yorkshire Pudding kindly sent me over so some graphics cards. I've installed an Azus jobbie, and it seems to be working. But, it's just froze and did a clicky clicky clicky through the speakers. No fuzzy screens, but just jammed. I think the CPU is ballsed. Checked the temps and it's...
We still have iptv via Wicked, but every time there's a fuckin football match on it stops working. Dunno whether a VPN would work, or whether its getting blocked on their end
