Here's the part number for the one used by ktec in the low pressure kit, I'm sure it is a 21turbo part
7700106886
This should give you scope upto a bar of boost so should be fine on a low pressure set up, however if your going high pressure just buy a genuine marelli 3 bar sensor.
One of the lads on RTOC is selling the above items, I figured I'd post this up in case anyone is interested in them (this being a clio forum and everything :))
He's after £300 each for them, if anyone would like some pics or any further information ring/text Gary on 07944769740
Items are...
This is the first T I've seen on 2118's looking pretty good Chris, I had decided to stick with turinis but think I might grab a set of these if there's a good deal on at the minute
Re: Bomber's Savage Supercharged Snorting Slut of a Ph1
Aah right so basically, it's just a programmable ECU and nothing like the power switches fitted to some modern motorbikes which allow you to swap power modes on the move with the flick of a switch?
Yeah I found the DCi gearbox a really good combination on mine, however Andy ran one on his and he hated it. He's adament it was the same ratios as mine a JC5-128 but he couldn't get on with the longer ratios on track.
Yeah there's was talk a while back about having a magazine feature on highly tuned N/A, SC and turbo'd clios. But it never happend, think it would be great to have a big shoot out at somewhere like brunters :D
Great results by the way, dont listen to the muppets who say it's pointless having...
Well I've used the ebay/ktec intercooler in both low and high pressure applications. In high pressure I measured the difference in boost between the compresor housing and the inlet and was suffering pressure drops in excess of 10psi. Now this was on a turbo that (apparently) has produced 317bhp...
Anything is possible if you have the skills and money.
If your asking will it simply drop straight in then the answer is no, not only is the gearbox massive but there are loads of other complications to go with it ie hydraulic clutch arrangement, custom driveshafts, custom mounts etc...
Oh dear Andrew, what have you done this time Tsk Tsk Tsk
Guess I'll be a busy little boy tomorrow night :D
On the plus side hows the paddle clutch looking?
Don't get me wrong you can swap stuff like the injectors, turbo and fit a larger intercooler to exceed 260bhp with a F4RT engine so it has potential, however 300bhp is the limit with the stock internals if you want to retain reliability and longetivity as Paul snapped a con rod when he went...
Your best bet is to think of what your long term power goal is then work out how to get to it.
The f4rt is designed for boost but the most you'll get out of a stock engine is around 260bhp and there'll be custom fabrication costs on top of that, obviously if you can do all that your self it...
As above really, you'll find that when a turbo set up is using the actuator as the boost control they'll take the pressure from the manifold, this is mostly due to pressure drop which you'll have across the intercooler and pipe work.
If you took your reference from the compressor housing and...
I'm looking at moving to smaller 15" alloys and fitting more track orientated tyres as I'm planning a couple of trackdays this year and only ever drive my car in the dry.
What would people recommend as I'm reluctant to follow the "2118" crowd :D
