I've got the normal OMP frames and I'm happy with the height they sit at. I got them from ybracing with a discount code on their site for about £85 or something.
On the left is a base mount seat bolted directly to the subframe. The right has a slider and is a sidemount seat. I actually found...
I personally prefer to reprogram the ECU so the airbags aren't in the system but the light still comes on and off for MOT. Takes anyone with clip a matter of 2 minutes to do.
I'd look through the diagrams to find which of the wires is a live, ground and then find the specific control wires last. What a total pain though I agree!
I remember your car from working at Century Place. It was my friend who had the other blue 182 in the car park which I later ended up buying.
From what I remember years ago I saw yours for sale with a busted gearbox but that wasn't long after it was sold.
I can't actually remember exactly which one it is but in the fuse box there are three small black relays which all look the same. By removing them one at a time and looking at the dash you should be able to tell which one is the immobiliser one. They are interchangeable so swap them around or...
2016 Update
MOT epic fail this morning!
Last night we went at picked up the car from the barn it had been laying in for the last three months. I knew the cover had blown off before I got there and I was of course expecting the tyres and battery to be flat. It fired straight up though and after a...
I started with pretty much what you've got. The colour isn't a sport colour though so the panels need spraying to match. A lot of cost involved! Personally I would do a wide track conversion so it handles like a sport but spare your money and don't do the body work. Widetrack was easily the best...
I've been discussing this with @AlexW. There is so much debate about this on the net! Still can't work out whether it's a good idea or not. Technically exhaust energy shouldn't change! Maybe a separate thread required for that one!
From my experience I would go with tyres, they make a huge difference. R888 aren't that much more then RSRs. Tuition next, it helped me improve my laptimes a lot.
The above is exactly what I had. It was with my best mate but in the end it was always going to be one person driving whatever work or costs there were which was a pain. My current track car is good because I always invite him down still and I say if he wants a go I need a contribution to the...
@punk_rallye got a link to something or is it as simple as a flanged SS nut? Just don't want to have to keep doing the buggers up as it seems to be a common problem.
@masekwm My bad typing. I had the initial downpipe down as TRW but the linkpipe for 182 manifold as ED. Is the shipping dear? 150...
Evening chaps
This year/next year I'm planning to do a low pressure turbo conversion on my cup and just want a bit of advice about parts as my birthday is on it's way and what could make me happier than clio bits. I'm doing to do it all myself.
Spec I'm going for
t25/28 turbo
r26 injectors
ED...
I've done it, bailed after only a few months. Had different ideas about the modifications we wanted to do for tracking it. Bought my own, much happier.
Brilliant idea to do a shall swap. I'd be tempted to do the same if a cup shell and cage came up one day. Would you not be better trying to buy a cup subframe? No-one ever buys parts like that so they much be cheap as chips. Postage would be the main killer.
I hammerited by dci subframe when I...
Bought mine two years ago. Saved me hundred in bills.
You can configure airbags easily with them but be careful as you can also screw up a lot of stuff if you don't know what you're doing. I wiped my ecu file once ;)
Common low fuel pressure symptoms. When the idle increases there's likely a dash light showing.
Dampness around the injector would be the injector seal, that affects cylinder pressure. Copper washer on the bottom of the injector may have gone.
Starting issues is likely to be a fuel system...
go to the city, have a few drinks in tower 42 (city social), head to madisons for a bit, then somewhere filthy like roadhouse in covent garden and then you can decide the rest depending on what a crazy amount you've spent.
No! But.... I have a good friend who does a lot of high end cars so may be worth a buzz. The work he does is insanely good. The 106 gti he used to have looked like brand new and things have only got better and better since. https://www.facebook.com/DetailDriven2014/?fref=ts
