https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3kxhuvy1wjm6bsb/AACgaRVter_Qe36kcQv-25AGa?dl=0 everything you need in there. I believe 418 is the fan. Goes through the roof loom which runs up the left hand pillar.
my car had 172 running gear for a while and it looked a lot lower than a standard clio and it was noticeably wider at the front. That would be the only tell tale though.
I've got a full plug set at home and the copper loop for anyone looking to do this. It's a mismatch of 3 brass bungs, 1 lambda bung and a home made loop but it worked perfectly. Don't know what it's worth so offers if anyone is interested.
Not a bad earth!
Sorted this problem today. Spent a while looking at the wiring diagrams and found that pin 3 of the coil shares the same 12v as the feed for the fuel pump. When both plugs were disconnected there was 4v at the coil pin and 3.9v at the pump. As soon as you connected either of the...
Had my dci for the last 50k of mainly flat out motorway driving and it's been absolutely trumps. At 154k it's now giving up the ghost, the engine is using oil and the car doesn't start without easy start. Make sure you check for fuel pump failure by being at 1500 revs and then flooring it in...
Evening chaps,
I've now got this car. Spent a bit of time looking at it and the pump. As said before the pump works when on an independent power source.
When you turn the ignition on there is 12v between the live and ground on the plug. As soon as you plug the pump in the 12v dies almost...
Yeah that's the one! I haven't actually had time to look into this properly but I've had someone kindly set me up a PC with an SQL server and basic application so I can get to grips.
I did watch a touch of the video and wrote the standard "hello world" application with it.
Lol, no worries. It's good to have questions!
The skuttle is definitely the best place because it's always dry in that place and won't cause leaks if the car gets caught outside in the rain. The run to the kill switch in the centre is also reduced compared to having the thru connection lower...
I didn't no although it's a bloody tight squeeze behind there to get the nut on the terminal. The difficulty is that a lot of the bulkhead at that level is double skinned or has a hollow behind it for the screen vents so your options are limited. Definitely possible to just have the top dash off...
I stripped my front loom using wiring diagrams and saved a pathetic 450 grams. Having a hair cut would be more beneficial honestly. The stuff you actually need like lights and EPAS are where the real weight is but then it's still a very small amount.
Have a look at my 172 thread. It' shows the...
I'm not but it would be very helpful for me to be on the same wavelength as the guys who are coding some of the programs, knowing what's possible, how the program actually works. I know several coders who most certainly aren't being outsourced for the reasons @172_Tom describes.
Will do, thanks...
Quick update on the car.
I've now sold my Recaros and Turinis :'( to fund my move to London.
Car smoking really badly now every time I drive it but luckily I do 2 miles a week so it's not currently a problem. Think the piston rings have gone as oil is coming out the camcover breather and going...
Google is my friend! Got it :) If you self taught I've got some hope, just want to pick up some basics in the next few months so if I put I have a basic knowledge I won't look like a clown when they ask.
Looking at trading firms which program a lot of their algorithms in C#. I'm really just...
Looking to learn some very basic c# coding as a lot of job applications I'm looking at are very interested in it.
Has anyone got experience of self learning this code? Where shall I start? I'm a very very logical person so from a brain POV it won't be a problem, just don't have any experience...
my bad, forgot to mention I had the car on a hunter about 2000 miles ago. The tracking was a touch out but nothing too bad. Of course it's all aligned now.
I've looked through all the other threads and found nothing.
Recently the DCI has developed a horrible twitch in the steering which is particularly prevalent at higher speeds and going round right hand corners. I can only describe it as the car actually veering and it feels like the steering...
