Battery mega fuse needed when relocating battery?

Evening guys I'm in the process of relocating my battery and want to know if I can bin this from the original positive terminal as I'm going to be running a mega fuse next to the battery. I understand it's just a megafuse. Merci

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

Very quick update. Car is pretty much ready to go on track now but I've lost all my free time now so will have to do the last bits in the evenings. Before I went away I got some omp subframe a fitted. And the exhaust is all on the car now. Just a quick list of the bits left to do though...

If it fits....what do you think... 182 clio 4 steering wheel

I was going to do this but can't remember why I didn't in the end. Back looks like it's a straight fit too!

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

@sburrell93 It's a good thing I think as they usually go back together...although they have been known not to! Today I managed to get a little bit more work done on the car as now we've finished Martin's I'm stoked to get on track. It's really nice to know I don't really have much to do any...

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

Graham has gross clothes. Will have to sort that PMS. I'm sure it's a case of just tinkering around with with it for hours until it's right. Nothing a 13mm and an allen key can't solve.

    decat or standard cat

There was 100% a difference between cat and no cat on my old 182. Get rid. My old system was supersport and passed track limits fine.

I should have explained better! the CHRA they supply is chinese but the rebuild turbos they do are a different CHRA which is why I got the whole unit. You can actually buy the decent CHRA from them separately although they don't list it on ebay. Odd I know but I triple checked before I bought...

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

Well when I do work on it I try to go absolutely crazy getting everything done at once! Having played with clios a lot recently I seem to be able to rip them apart way too quick :D That D/S is the o/s one. They both have a tripod but that one has the cup external to the gearbox although mine is...

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

No idea yet chaps! I've only got the manifold on and it's crazy loud. I've seen the youtube videos too which don't sound brilliant but I'll get a video when the rest of the exhaust and gaskets turn up. Cheers Dan, slowly getting there.

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

It's been a while but because of uni exams blah blah I hadn't done anything to the car for a couple of months....until yesterday. Order of the day was to remove the PAS, exhaust and swap over the 182 manifold. It was all really easy to do although the grime/mud on the car was absolutely vile so...

Pictures of your looped rack for EPAS. What fittings have you used?

Are you blanking all four holes mark and then just looping the two holes on the tube of the rack?

    sburrell's ph1 172 track project (maybe)

I keep meaning to reply to your thread Stu! Car is coming along really nicely, lots of good and perfect mods to make it a real cracker on track. Surely our cars are pretty much along the same lines! I've even got a failed tripod on a driveshaft at the moment ha

Just a quick question. What awards are there if any for non-sports if any? Just wondering whether to give the old girl a scrub before coming up or be a lazy bugger and not take a day off :)

    heater matrix, easy?

the matrix in the car? it's a complete dash out job including the dash frame. The heater hoses in the engine bay aren't particularly fun either! Could do it in 5 hours I reckon if you remember where everything goes and are very organised

Pictures of your looped rack for EPAS. What fittings have you used?

It's removing the standard fluid driven pas pump driven by the engine, looping the rack or fitting a DCI rack and changing the column to a 1.2/dci version which has electronic assistance. There's a control knob which you get form eBay which allows completely variable assistance. Search for epas...
